First I'd like to know where in The Constitution it says healthcare is a right. Second, EVEN if we can somehow make the jump that healthcare IS a right, what compels the government to provide this right for us? And finally, the second amendment gives us all the undeniable right to own guns. Following the Democrats logic, I just want to know; Where are my government guns? I want my government gun! It's my right and it's the governments job to provide me with my rights... Oh, wait. I've already seen how they provide my freedom of the speech and press. But to make a point we should all start contacting our representatives asking them where our government guns are. (sarcasticface)

I believe I answered your question. Ever answer a question in an analogy? They are humans, yes, but they are also charged with the public interest at heart. You can't put on a badge and instantly acquire respect. As I said before, if I were in Gates' shoes I would have been a lot more cordial and swallow my contempt. I own my business, the property, the building, and all of the equipment therein. If a person is displeased with my work, which would be the only reason a person would be allowed in the shop area, I would most certainly take the high road. I'd let the man/woman finish their little rant, ask them if they feel better, and then ask to be paid for services rendered.

Exactly. As long as I can fire the man-in-the-middle and hire someone else, I'm happy. That is the essence of the free market. You can't fire the government if they become your health care provider. Right now, I'm shopping for life insurance. I have already visited two agents, and gotten competing quotes. What happens when the government takes that over? I'm pretty sure it will mean fewer options and more mandates.
