  1. Go Dolphins!!! .
  2. As Snafu said, there are lots of people waiting to adopt. Adoption is obviously better for the child, and easier for the mom to handle than abortion. I am glad that you got my heat and fire analogies. Playing with fire means you can get burned. Having sex means you can get pregnant. yes, if need be- they can drop them off at my door- especially if it saves an innocent child from being aborted. I will absolutely do my best to make sure they are safe and get a home that will love and care for them. I get that, really I do. But, it is a fact that sex, no matter how enjoyable, can lead to babies. If you are in a situation that you wouldn't be a suitable mom or dad, then maybe you need to re-examine your decision to have sex: That is part of the responsibility of being an adult. Then why do you think most abortions happen? Yes. Once a woman gets pregnant she has a responsibility to care for herself and that baby til it is delivered. Her choice (apart from rape- but snafu made an excellent argument for that) has already been made- when she decided to have sex. Now, I also feel that the mans responsibility is equally as important- but a woman has to acknowledge that she will have more at stake physically if she gets pregnant, thus she needs to consider her options before hand a little closer than the guy does. THIS DOES NOT ABSOLVE THE MAN OF RESPONSIBILITY, but the next nine months of his physical life aren't going to be thrown in a bender for 15 minutes of "enjoyment." Another excellent point Snafu. I do not intend to pass judgment either, but I cannot believe that society feels it is ok to kill innocent babies and call it little more than a "choice."
  3. You view having kids as a punishment? I don't, but getting pregnant is a natural side-effect of having sex. I was taught that in the 5th grade, and I assume most people having abortions were taught that as well (I say 'people' instead of 'women', because there are plenty of men that push their women to have abortions so they won't have to deal with it.) Can't stand the heat? Don't play with fire. Abortion should not be used as birth control. Ever.
  4. . Holly Berry Holly Berry came into our rescue as a result of an owner relinquishment facilitated by the Animal Protective Association of Southern Illinois. Holly suffered chronic ear and skin infections, and had endured frequent moves, and months of confinement in a unheated horse barn and kennel. After treatment by a holistic vet, conversion to a raw diet, and fostering for approximately 7 weeks, she was adopted. source
  5. Why should a baby be killed just because it's mother was irresponsible or it may "inconvenience" her? Abortion as a form of birth control (which is how it abortion is used the majority of the time) infuriates me. If you aren't prepared to be a parent, then your best bet is to not have sex (because abstinence is the only 100% effective form of birth control.)

    Killer cat

I have also heard that the victom may have been taunting the tiger- as there was a shoe and some blood beyond the safety railing.
  8. I wish we had politicians that were that uppity...

    Killer cat

Same cat bit of a ZooKeepers arm right at a year ago. I'm guessing he didn't like being wished "Merry Christmas"...
  10. Shouldn't it be up to 3 1/2 years by now? At the rate your time online grows, I think it should be. Must be dog years... wez is a dumbass. ~ hugo (and many, many others- including myself.)
  11. yeah, cuz it's real hard to cut and paste select passages and without much understanding of them try to use them to hurt people...
  12. You know who this is for, and you likely know if it is for you.
  13. Do ya feel lucky? Well... do ya, punk?
  14. uh-oh, best watch that hypocrisy level there wez.... How the f ck would he know and who is he decide how every individual should find God. It's quite egotistical if you ask me.. if that's cool. That wasn't you judging and condemning someone for his beliefs, was it? and you didn't answer where his quote at all incites violence. This is a person sharing his personal religious beliefs, and you jump his case for it- just like you think some are doing here to Islam. But that isn't the case here. Fundamentalist Islam is wreaking havoc on our world. Yes, I said Fundamentalist Islam. This is the belief system that has the whackjobs that fly planes into buildings, strap bombs to children, and drive explosives into shopping centers. Honestly, wez. I cannot understand why you stand up for a belief system (again, talking Fundamentalist Islam here) that is so violent and deadly. It really makes no sense. But even with the fundamentalists giving Islam a bad name- the moderate Islam followers aren't doing much better in creating a better name for themselves. Not speaking up against atrocities done in the name of Islam. That is the point here. As I proved at the beginning of top of this- we are all hypocrites (gasp! even you,) so lets move beyond that, please, and just focus on the issue at hand: Fundie Islam wants to take over the world, and they are willing to kill everyone else in it to get what they want- heck, they are even willing to kill themselves to get it. This is bad news, and needs to be addressed- and unfortunately, telling these fundie- Islamics that "You need to play nice with everyone or you will go into timeout!" won't do a thing to curb their violence against others. I am all for people believe in whatever they want, even if I believe something else, but when those beliefs start causing harm to others- simply because they believe something else- then it needs to be seriously looked at.
  15. wow, jump around much?
  16. Come on man. September 2001? You don't think maybe tensions were a little bit high in September 2001? But either way, show me where this is Biblically based. Cool quote, but and where does it incite violence? Jerry Falwell is a loon, and not real high up on the "Christians listen to him" list. especially in quote that are 20 + years old. Some guy sharing his opinion. Again, show me where this (or any of this) is biblically based, or even embraced by a multitude of Christians. I dunno who Randall Terry is, but I can see why he isn't running for pres. I'm sure there is some negative point to this one, I just don't get it. If Jesus comes back tomorrow it is gonna look pretty stupid to have bought a $50,000 impractical electric car yesterday- won't it? and who is Rondald Regan?
  17. ummm, it was the President of Venezuela (Hugo Chavez,) and there was plenty of conservative outrage over it, and he apologized a couple days later. The uproar got so bad that ABC Family, which had been showing Robertson's The 700 Club late at night for years, started putting up a disclaimer before the show started: "the views expressed by the following show do not represent ABC Family or any of it's employees."
  18. dude, I totally hear that in my head as Hulk Hogan talking...

    I Need Help

Maybe your message would get through better if you didn't type like a 11 year old...
  20. You never were one much for understanding humor. and I cannot for the life of me understand how that is relevant in this discussion, other than you trying to take a pot shot at me. So much for moving forward, huh?
  21. ok, so how will will you condemning the world and all of it's habitants help? Go ahead and call a gang member a hypocrite and let me know how that works out for you. I think you would end up doing little more than pissing people off. You may be right in what you say, but people do not like to be condemned- especially by people who are just as at fault for what they are condemning others for. So, Unless you can show some remarkable ability to not be hypocritical, your plan appears to me to solve nothing. Religious wars start because one side thinks the other side is wrong, and they start condemning the other side. Congrats, it looks to me like you are on your way to starting a war. or getting yourself shot when you piss off the wrong person. Am I wrong?
  22. ok wez, you make a good point. Just about everyone that is where they are in the world is because someone killed someone for that land. So, what is your viable solution to ending wars? How are you going to implement it? (this is a serious question. You seem to have down pat blaming everyone, so what are your plans to make it better?)
  23. My "advice" was for everyone Wez. You, me, TJ, and anyone else that is playing this game. I don't understand why you appear to be unwilling to move forward, but I should be used to it by now. It doesn't matter who can go the longest- the object of this place is to discuss interesting and relevant topics, and sharing different ideas and perspectives. Right now that isn't happening because many of us are caught up in this stupid on-going battle. Nothing is getting accomplished. I'm saying it's time to move forward. What do you think Wez? What do you think TJ? Thank you snafu for your input.
  24. I guess I asked for to much.
  25. holy freaking cow... That right there is down right amazing wez. The single best example of hypocrisy I have ever see. "don't put words in my mouth, but I am gonna put some in yours." un-freakin'-believable. I have an idea for the rest of this thread (and maybe even the others here): How 'bout WE all quit saying what we think others are saying and just speak for ourselves? Seriously guys, this "You said this" and "No, I didn't say that, but you said this." stuff is getting real old and has killed another possible good topic. I'm not trying to blame any one, just asking if we could maybe move forward without it? So, lets all share our own thoughts, our own ideas, our own words- and quit all this nonsense that leads no where. Please. Thanks.
