I agree eddo, definetely consequenses for harming another be it a child or wiping out a family drunk driving.. As there are now. But all the other crap, harming everyone. That's the thing, these laws don't stop people from becoming under the influence in the first place.

Why is it all or nothing? Lets make everything illegal. It's easy to control people when you set them up to be a "criminal".

No ones gonna force you to do drugs.. Why should Marijuana be illegal? To make it worth money and create a market is the reason I think.... People don't need fancy smancy factories and distribution networks of commerce to grow a plant and dry it out. It would become virtually worthless, as far as monetary value is concerned..

Personally, I don't think anyone should ever go to prison for drugs unless another crime was involved, which, I don't think would happen if the illegality of certain drugs were removed. It's the illegality itself that fuels these violent underworlds of crimes against persons and property. Didn't we learn that in the 1920's?

I don't wanna divert the Maddy post, and this topic really deserves it's own thread.. The war on drugs was the worst decision the US government ever made in it's entire existence. It is destroying our nation from the inside out. We need a serious overhaul. I thought this was a free country? Not as free as Amsterdam apparently.. What are your thoughts on the Ronnie (big government) Reagan, just say no, drug war? Seems the liquer and pharmacuetical companies don't want everyone to "just say no"..

Totally agree with you Jhony.. The war on drugs was the stupidest idea ever concieved to create a market and jobs at the expense of everyone. It's literally destroying our country and so many lives.

TJ, I only pressured you on your killing of a man and hospitalization of 4 because of the high and mighty attitude you display here attacking everyone else for stuff when you have done something ten times worse. I was making a point, and made it well because the second you were pressured by that fact, you defined yourself Instead of claiminf full responsibility and admitting you were wrong for killing a life, you started lies and counter attacks to avoid that responsibility. Then you started trying to downgrade the situation, calling that life less than life to reduce the impact of what you did. If you simply admitted you were wrong and stopped your hatred filled attacks on others, I would agree that you deserve forgiveness but forgiveness cannot be offered to someone who refuses to completely admit their wrong. You say you believe in the teachings of Jesus, well, in this situation what would Jesus do, would he duck and dodge his responsibility like you have been doing or would he completely admit his crime and face it like a man? Look in the mirror bud, you're talking to yourself..

Honestly, I'm not pro - abortion either. It wasn't a pleasant, or easy decision, but a decision I felt was the proper and responsible one to make. I'm not proud nor happy about the decision we made and I'm mostly not proud of the fact that I stayed in a sick relationship for so many years. I do know I wouldn't ever agree to do it again, but I would never try to guilt or shame a woman into doing anything other than what she wanted to do, even if I was the father. I know where my say and influence over the matter should stop. But as far as banning abortion, no way. I'm a man, it's not my place to claim domain over a womans body or reproductive system.

I don't have a problem with that, I thought it was ok for me to return the favor after being called a murderer.. So one cell is not a life and another is because it has a different pattern of growth and eventual death? Seems together, they can only die as well..
