Guess what I had the other day? Pumpkin cheese cake.
It was disgusting.

Need..sleep..
I bet when I do wake up from eventually falling asleep..I'm going to wonder why I'm even posting. Hell, I'm even talking to myself in the chatroom, hahaha. Wheee.

So.. how are you?
Wow. Cherry flavoured medicine is awesome...

Pumpkin cheesecake? No, thank you. I prefer the standard issue pumpkin pie and shut my mouth.

Mmm. Pumpkin pie is absolutely delicious! It's my favourite next to my homemade cherry cheesecake.

Boring, uninspired, mediocre post-Blondie bullshit.

I would disagree with most of that.

But heres my general outlook on music. To be critical of something saying that its just crap, they don't know what they're doing or they're just the same crap as this other crap is terribly self-centered.

Even when I think **** is awful money-pop BS if it fits some basic criteria then I respect the artists;

-They write their own songs
-They sing their own songs
-And preferably play their own insturaments, this is especially essential for insturmental groups :D. (Not AS much respect for 'just' vocalists)

This is why I can hold some respect for bubble gummers like Avril Lavgine; Even though I hate her music and her image and her dumbassery, she does her own **** and there are people out there who like it. Why would I put myself above somebody for liking something different from me?

I seldom call music crap and if I do I ususally clairfy. When somebody harps on about what you listen to is ****, especially music which means SO much to SO many, then its really a kick in the pants you know.

Hell I can even like crap! 'Toxic' by Britney Spears, sorry but that was a dman catchy song. Do I respect her or even consider her a part of the music world? Nope. She does nothing but mechanically sing corporate-mathmatical pop written by a dozen or so people with the soul purpose of making money. This relm of 'music' is not art, its a product to be sold.

Coming back to The Ditty Bops, I love them x10. Lovly voices, catchy tunes and clever lyrics all done by these 2 charming ladies who just love being goofs about their ****. The mere fact the they post all their music on their website for whoever to listen to is just a testiment to the fact that they're just in it for the music, and to make enough to live comfortably while doing what they love.

An artist's/group's reasoning for doing what they do will vary but its easy to tell that somebody is really doing this with a purpose compared to somebody who is vacume packed and reprinted 10 million times for resale.

If you think that your taste in music is the ONLY good taste then I hope a bookcase falls on you and you're crushed after finding your wife's lesbien porn on the top shelf.

Note:This probably sounded more spitful then I ment, its not directed souly at you RO, but just at snobs in general. :)

I totally concur, however I can't bring myself to listen to bullshit pop music. (ie: U2)

I never said that I was above anyone because my opinion of music was different. I merely pointed out how much I think the band, you so adore, sucks. Take it with a grain of salt or a shot of tequila, but don't take it to heart what I say. As you say, its just an opinion.

Music is a major part of my life. I could not exist without it. Your taste in music, may clash with mine. With that said, I must mention my vehement dislike for people that muck up the industry with their half-assed pop bubble gum bullshit. (ie Creed)

You go ahead and like crap all you want to. I'm just going to sit here and enjoy the Allman Bros Band as they rock the Fillmore East.

A hit is a hit. Regardless of who sings it, plays it, or records it. Doesn't mean that the majority is going to love it. If they were in it just for the music, perhaps they'd work much harder at not sucking. I'm mean, that's the suckiest bunch of suckers that has ever sucked.

I remember when music was a respectable trade; you could listen to the music, relax, and feel inspired. The problem with music today has so much to do with the corporate image and what sells. I can not believe ****ing rap and hip hop has succeeded so well. I reckon it just goes to show that 99.5% of the people in the world have absolutely no taste whatsoever.

I have seen no worthy examples in Today's music, be it Pop or Alternative.

I hope you learn how to spell.

If I'm a snob because I prefer music wrought with heart and talent, then I guess I'm a snob.

All I have been listening too is Cash cause my daughter discovered it and wants to memorise the whole CD. Can't say I am ready to complain on that one yet

God, I think all good old songs remind me of something.
Just off the top of my head one would be...

And now while back on track...

Blog 27-Hey boy(get your up) -- A cheesy but yet catchy pop song by a couple of 13 year old polish girls. Heard it a bunch of times while watching some music channel in a hotel room in St Petersburg after having one too many Baltikas. Good times.

KMFDM - Stars & Stripes: AWESOME BUSH BASHING SONG!!!

Shaquira - You're the one I need: Reminds me of this tween from Australia who had a huge e-crush on me. She always told me how this song made her think of me. The whole thing was a VERY screwed up experience on my behalf.

B-52's - Love shack: The song that made me vow I would never go to another social in my life. DO THEY HAVE TO PLAY THIS AT EVERY DAMN SOCIAL AND DIVE BAR I GO TO? THIS SONG SUCKS! DON'T PLAY IT!!

Iron Maiden - The Trooper: Makes me think of my last year of Highschool. My most memorable reefer experiences happened this year. Listened to this song a lot.

Alice Cooper - House of fire: Reminds me of my stripper friend who I used to-and still occasionally hang out with and spend all night listening to music while smoking ridiculous amounts of dope and drinking ourselves stupid. DAMN GOOD TIMES!! I need to do this more often.

Sure thing.

Blutengel-Seelenschmerz: A REALLY FUN song to get loaded to.

Beastie Boys - You gotta fight for your right to party: Came on just as I was getting tossed out of a bar for being a drunken idiot. How appropriate

Blink 182 - What's my age again: Reminds me of how I always flipped out whenever someone told me to "grow up"
