Rob sat Mel down in the sand before spreading out a blanket and putting her on it. It was
pretty quiet for the morning. It was how he liked things. But even for ten am, the
california heat was setting in durring this late may day. This was one of Rob's favorite
places to come. It was a secluded area, not to many people knew about it so it was always
quiet and it allowed him time to think. Mel looked up at him from the position she held in
the sand. A smile graced his natural frown. He peeled his shirt off before kicking his
shoes off and laying watching his youngest play in the sand. As he watched Mel, he
continued to think. It was somethign that almost knotted his stomache as he thought about
it. After all he did for her, putting in hours after hours in that **** hole of a coffee shop to
pay the bills and keep food on the table, she found comfort in another mans arms. It was
almost down right insulting. Back in High school where he first met her, he dated a girl
named susan. but what was suposed to be shameless flirting turned in to a catastrophe of
sorts. Rav getting pregnant and then susan leaving him for another guy, he couldnt seem
to cut a break. Rob shook his head as he finally noticed mel was trying to burry him in the
sand. It'd be her problem to deal with, he decided. Rob then sighed as Mel started
giggeling. He'd have to face this problem sooner or later, but right now, he just wanted to
clear his head. Rob felt so confused. He was on the verge of the greatest thing that could
ever happen to him and he would be able to do something he loved the most, but, his
heart felt like it was being ripped apart from Rav's betrayal. Did he mean anything to her
or was he just the father of her kids. Could it have been something that he did or didnt
do? He couldnt remember the last time since the twins were born that they went to bed
together. One of them if not both were always up taking care of them. They learned with
Fribby that babies were time consuming, but what could have drove rav to this particular
decision. Rob sighed, he was thinking too much again.
"Come on monkey, lets go for a walk."
Rob put his hat on and put mel on his shoulders. She grabbed onto his head tightly. Some
of the few people at the beach looked on with amazement to see a tall burly guy with kid.
his friends always chastized him about being a giant teddy bear. But most of the time he
didnt care about them and what they said, it was all just fun and jokes. Rob walked with
mel on his shoulders down the beach.
