LP's next cd doomed?

like we all know MTM got a negative rating on just about every review and many of the HC LP fans now hate the new lp.

That's true, but they have also gained fans from MTM. Everyone has their on different tastes in music, and their new sound has attracted a new crowd of LP fans (I know some of my friends who were never really into LP, are now into them because of MTM).

Also the fact that they took 4 years to release a new album killed the lp flames in alot of people

That is one thing that puts me off LP, the long periods of nothing new...it especially puts me off because my favourite album was HT and then Meteora and then Minutes to Midnight, so for me they are getting worse. That's not to say they are becoming less talented musicians (Because they are are actually progressing) I just prefer the harder sound.

In conclusion, I hope LP release an album which is harder and comes out sooner (*can't help but giggle at the "harder and comes out sooner"*).

Guys, does anyone of you know when the new album comes out? Approximately. could it be the next year?

I hope the new cd comes the next year, and I would like that it was more seemed to meteora or hybrid theory. I like MTM but I prefer the previous songs...but,if the new cd have songs like given up, no more sorrow,no roads left, (even In between), I will be happy!!!!

after the touring they'll probably take a good break, then maybe tour some more, or go into the studio. making an album (for them) will take at least 6-12 months I think.

so sometime in 2010 I think. but I can't really do the math since I dunno how long they're on tour now

on a side note, I hope they veer even more from the numetal on the next album, experiment more, do more crazy unexpected things. just let go of inhibitions and write free of forms and clichés

one can dream...

Yeah it's hard to predict now hopefully we will get some more information some time soon..

you say that as if Minutes To Midnight was experimental.....I will say they took everyone by surprise but that album is barely experiments...Maybe very for them but the average band...nah...

true. but yeah on their own scale, they did experiment. at least in the sense that the work process was way different as well as the song writing. dont' get me wrong, I'm not defending the album, I definitely don't like it lol

I'm just saying that going further in their admittedly limited experimentation so far, would help them a lot as a band

I agree unless it is gonna make the music worse. Good music is always better than experimental.

Joe and Brad don't have talent for a supergroup...Mike would be only one sucessfull after LP most likely if any of them are

Well, you don't really need talent to be in a group of any kind anymore unfortunately, lol. I don't think they're work in LP should be a measurement of their talent either... We don't really know what they can do beyond the boundaries of LP... Well for Joe, he's produced stuff in the past, so his efforts could be used elsewhere.. And I don't know why you say only Mike... Chester has alot of friends in the music business these days... I think he'd be the first to find something else to do.

those who were dissapointed but are fans, will still buy it (like myself). those who didnt like it and werent much of a fan, will still check it out cause of curiosity. thats one thing lp has to their advantage, their diversity makes people curious. however, whether they'll check it out by buying it or getting it another way, is beyond my knowledge.

You all are kids, are you SERIOUS? MTM sucked, every track. I admit i do enjoy leave out all the rest. Its an OKAY song. What happened to qwerty? That song was awesome and they didnt add it. If i wanted to listen to a band that sounded like greenday nowadays, id listen to greenday. LP used to be unique and great! I forgot about them due to MTM, and today i popped reanimation into my car just for kicks and i instantly had a huge ******. I forgot how great it was. what the **** happened! I still remember buying HT back in 01' and having it melt in my sony cd player from constant playing. I highly doubt they will return to their old ways but if they did id be so glad. I think LP is just so commercialized now, mtv ruins everything. GO ahead 13 y/o fanboys blast on me how im not a real fan. But its true, MTM was a HUGE dissapointment. The only good lp ballad was my December.

angry man, stop crying, we are all old and unlike you the, true fan boy, who cant except that LP aint a young nu-metal band anymore. There are plenty of songs on MTM that kick ***, so go cry somewhere ells?
