Sorry R.O. I think it's quite opposite, the Democrats are WELCOMING this pick. Alot of them feel that McCain might even be trying to throw the race and whole heartedly dump all the s@# mistakes of the past 8 years on his (Obama's) lap, so him, and the other Oil men in whITeY whitehouse can sit back with a smirk and go "SO LONG SUCKERS, HAVE FUN FIXING THIS FUKK UP".

You musta watched a different speech than I did.

Sure she got in her diggs at Obama and Biden, but she also shared some of the stuff she has done in Alaska.

Stuff like selling the "governor's" plane because it was frivolous. or turning down the Federal government's money for the Bridge to Nowhere because it was a short sighted plan. Or how she will soon have a son in Iraq. Talk about a vested interest in how the war over there plays out...

I thought it was a great speech. She got the troops riled up and did a fine job of introducing herself to those of us who really don't know her.

She was the real deal.

She advcocates govermnet reform even you could agree with wez. Lower taxes. And an energy bill that they will instagate in the first 112 days. Rid ourselves from the grip of foriegn dependency.

I can't support anyone who thinks it's ok to drop bombs on people and that it makes someone a hero.

I never asked anyone to kill anyone for me, so don't get ****** if I don't appreciate it.

She aint gonna shake up nuthin' but violence and more of the same sh t.

Well your not gonna be able to support anybody then. Obama will also drop bombs. He's already stated his support to stop Iran at any cost.

I guess you won't be voting for Obama/McCain then...

It's a good thing people fought and died for your ability to "defend my beliefs anywhere, anytime, against anyone". If not, you'd likely be saying it in Japanese or German or with a heavy British accent, and in most assuredly in jail for believing it.

Maybe you should thank some people for giving you the freedom to say and think whatever you want here in America, instead of always bashing them.

The ability to complain should be balanced out with the need to appreciate what is already good... There are many things that need attention in this country... alot is on the line with this election... but it would be a sin to not give lip service to what has gone right in the face of what could have gone wrong...

I'm not an Obama fan, but I can tell you that I'm thrilled to see him 'man up' and admit that the surge that he voted against and his opponent McCain championed and voted for, was wildly successful! It took alot to admit that especially during the election...

My freedom comes from my creator.. free will.. Not men killing men or living in fear only to say what I think other people think I should think. I'm sorry but killing people goes against everything I believe in. Doesn't mean I don't care about the young men and women who think they're doing the right thing because old people lie and ask them to die for them and rally the country to cheer em on all the way to the grave with the promise of hero status and 17 virgins..

Show me where I bashed anyone.. matter of fact, go take over for IWS on that McCain/Mengele debate.. He went MIA.. You know the one.. please explain. :rolleyes:

I applaud your idealism, but the fact remains that you live in a world that is ruled by men killing men and the consequences of thier rule... Your freedom is a fortunate consequence of the country you live in and the culture that we have enjoyed as a people thus far... Freedom, to whatever extent you have it, is afforded to you by our nation's willingness to fight others...

You may not agree with killing people, but don't ever underestimate the effectivness of a mass grave at securing a peacefull border... We live under a blanket of security that other provided if not with war itself, with the spector of it...

You may not agree with it, but respect it...
