The NYT never fired her, but they agreed to a parting of the ways
after she refered to a chicken slaughter in Texas as "a gang pluck".
The Times is a squeamish paper, after all.

The Times has a big front page tribute to her today.

Note that repugnants didn't 'fire' Rumsfeld or Powell or Tenet but if it's a
Dem, the Dems were fired.

Actually, I just read back, and realized that nobody claimed she got
fired. Harold expressed surprise that she wasn't. My apologies for
misunderstanding.

NYT canned her. That's how she ended up in Texas.

Speaking of women that turn Republicans on... Can you explain to me
why Republican 'women' all look like Tammy Baker or Kathy Harris?
What is with the caked on mascara, the ratted, shellacked hair, the
fake big boobs, etc.? Stepford wives immediately comes to mind...

It takes no talent to incite anger in another, only stupidity.

The fact you find glee in that is very telling. I have had enough of stupid
people like you in my life, so now you are gone.

I've never been happy to see a human being die. Rush may be wrong headed.
He might even be a lousy excuse for a human being, but Rush is still a human
being, and his death will a sad end to a sad life. It will give me no
pleasure to know that he's dead.

Don't let it get to you. These people have sick little lives and their only
joy is in believing they can inject into others the same hatred they feel.

No, because Bush's death would put Dick Cheney, a man who is if
anything even more worthless, in charge of the country.
