After a recent incident involving Reflectionist we have decided to permanently ban him. This time the permanent for good. We, UMO and the moderators, had a vote to determine whether it was time. There was a 4-1 result, Banning won the majority. This thread is made to discuss his banning IF NECCESARY, and will be closed on Sunday. So if you have any final words for him say it here.

 

 


I asked him if he had anything he'd like to say to the forum members...and this is it:

I liked ( like) Jake (Ref.) he is a good guy and part of me hates to see him go, and its sad that he thnks he was blacklisted... And stenners is not next.. Guys, what it comes down to is Ref had hundreds of chances and took advantage of them, and it was time for him to part ways, I think it will be good for us, and good for him.

Keep it clean, keep it fun, keep it nice, so we dont have lock this thread

I haven't known the guy for long, and I don't know him too well, but I feel his attitude hasn't been so bad lately. His posts can have negative tones in them but they can be funny in an ironic way. At times he can be a great guy, with insightful input towards our forum, but on the other hand he can also be quite sour.

But well, I guess his time is up. He will be remembered.

yeah right..dictatorship...

it was a group decission the first time we considered a new ban was on November 25th '07

we gave him a 5 day ban after that...to give him one final chance.

He was all cool and doing alright posts after that...but he just can't stop being who he is.

And what he did in numerous threads can't be any good for the forum.

Let's just move on...I really liked his music and stuff but besides that he there was nothing positive he did for this forum.

I didn't knew him so well, sometimes he made posts I couldn't disagree with more, and sometime's he had posts that made me lol.

I don't know what he did that got him banned, but i'm sure it didn't happen for no reason.

I thought most of Ref's posts were fine. They were usually in opposition to what everyone else was saying, but that's a good thing on a forum site. Provokes conversation and such.

Admittedly he did go too far sometimes, but I still don't think it was enough to get him permanently banned.

in my opinion ref is one of those guys who really has a clue about that what hes saying...if u read his posts u will realize that he tell us the facts in a brilliant way...i dunno how to explain it...but some guys here are just talking bullshit, right jeezy??...wtf u mean by "but he just can't stop being who he is"...why dont u just stop being who u are??....then everything would be alright

Keep it calm please, Mr. Pool.. I think what Jeezy was trying to say is, that we have giving Ref. too many opportunities to keep it cool, and calm himself, and he wasn't willing to ease up, so he had to go.

And, Honestly, the majority of you haven't even read everything Ref. has said in the past, or just recently, because we were forced to delete it, because it is so offensive, and it tends to start flame wars. I for one was, and still am, tired of reading **** like that, and then having to take 20 minutes deleting posts. Whether all of you competely, partially, or not at all, understand why we banned Jake, isn't important, we as the staff had our reasons, and agreed with each other that it was time to ban him. And the reason defiantly wasn't, "Hurrr Hurr, lets ban him because we all hate him!!" because that isn't true, I don't hate Jake at all. I wish it wouldn't have come down to this.

Also, you can ask me all you want, but I am sorry, I will not prove to you that Ref. has made horrible post, or provide you with examples.. I don't have the time, nor the patience.. And even if I did, some of you would still think, "WTF, that is BS".. As members of this forum, you should have trust in our decisions.. We make them for you, to keep the forum going and under control. I mean think about it, some of you may recall, just a few months ago, I was one of those people fighting with other staff members to keep Ref. here.. Now logically think about that statement, don't you think some things had to have gone down, to make me change my mind so drastically?

Like I said, part of me is sad to see him go.. He made great music, he provided a lot of entertainment, he had a lot of good ideas, and he was an overall nice guy.. But, that isn't enough sometimes.. and in this case, it defiantly wasn't enough.

I am not mad, I just want you guys to understand, that this had to be done.. and if someone takes this post, and trys to flame, or start a flame war.. I will lock this thread so fast.

Nor am I trying to force my views and opinions on you.. You guys have ever right to question, hence the thread.. I don't care if you agree, or disagree.. Just please keep it respectful.. I just want to give you all an opportunity to see what I thought, and how I felt. Just so you knew..
