“Oh” Talinda moaned when she woke up and felt her head killing her, “Oh.”
“Talinda? Sam?” she heard someone say as she heard footsteps coming closer.
“Oh ***, my head.”
“Talinda? Sam? ...” she heard again “...Talinda? ...” she then turned her head and saw that it was Rob as he came to her side, kneeling next to her, “Hey, are you okay?”
“Oh, Rob…” she grabbed his arm.
“What happened?” he asked her.
“Hey, where’s Sam?” she asked not seeing her where they were.
“Uh, I don’t know. That’s a good question, but it looks like she found you, though, huh?” he said putting his hand behind her head as she pushed her body forward so he could look at the back of her head.
“Oh. I was this close to getting her to come home with me.”
“It’s all right.”
“But she panicked at the last minute.”
“What happened? Did she hit you over the head?”
“No, she pushed me against the locker. She didn’t mean to hurt me Rob.”
“Okay, come on.”
“Rob, she’s out to launch” she said looking up at him.
“I would think so now, come on, we have to find her…” he said helping her up, “Are you okay? You're not feeling nauseas?”
“No, the baby and I are fine if that's what you're concerned about” she said.
“Yeah. How’d you know that she would come here?” he asked.
“Well I tried figuring out where she would go and then it hit me that she may not be just in L.A. but that she might also be in Phoenix, so I came here and the first thing I thought about was Greenway.”
“Good thinking. Do you know where else she would go?”
“There’s a couple places I would think she would go. Hey, does Chester and Sam still own that house here?” she asked.
“If they did they might be renting it out, but I think Sam sold it before she came out to L.A.”
“Okay, so I think she would either go to her parents’ house or my old house” she said, “She may even be at the park. That’s were we use to hang out at.”
“Let’s try your old house” he said.
“Okay” she said. They then walked over to where her car was at and Talinda drove since she still knew where her childhood home was still at. When they got there she saw Sam’s car and was shocked to see that the condition of the house she grew up in. After parking her car behind Sam’s they both got out and walked up to the front door, that was were she saw that it was open. They walked in and Talinda took off down the hall when she heard some crying coming from one of the rooms. As she got closer down the hall she saw that it was her old room. She saw that the door was open so she walked closer to the door and saw Sam sitting on the floor at the end of the bed with her back facing her.
“Oh ***. I’m so sorry, Sandra. It should of -- it should of never -- it should of never happen” Sam said in between her cries turning her head to look at her.
