ok for the brad-blab. As rav pointed out, I did notice the nether-region shots. They seem to make everything really nice looking. hes got really nice eyes. I love em. well i was watching him play in a few concerts and such but I noticed (might have put this on another thread) that he two hand taps on OSC and Figure 0.9 . I think its really cool, two hand tapping is like a really hard thing to do. I think that it takes real talent to do it.

Hey guys... me again. Now I know you know that I'm not that much of a BBB fan... ****, he's part of LP so he's all good with me, but since I'm making it a bit of a habit to frequent all the other (what, 3?) 'churches' there is now, I thought I'd drop in, see how things are going, lend my support where I can and just... *shrug* say hi! So... "Hi!"

Well, I have a sum total of around 14 BBB pics in my collection, and most of them you've probably seen (if not own) but I can share one or two I think are great so that others may also partake of them seeing as how I'm such a nice person and all *laughs*







Brad trying to pull off a 'lumberjack' look of his own *laughs* Nice try, but I'm just blatantly biased... but then again, I think that Brad would make a far better 'Apostle' than Rob should he be cast into a movie role of a religious nature *laughs again at the visual*

As for Brad-talk (or 'blab' - nice word play there, like Rob-ranting, Mike mumbling and Chas chatter *laughs*) I have to say that while I used to only be able to play three chords on the guitar in the good old days (think 'power chords' think 'Nirvana' and you'll catch on) I agree that he makes what he does look **** easy... and it aint as far as I'm concerned. I will also say that I absolutely adore his riff intro to 'Numb' from the Rock am Ring 2004 concert, it's just hypnotic. Excellent stuff from the big bad. I also think this harder sound suits him better as a musician, and I think should LP tend in that direction musically (which personally I think they should before Hip Hop consumes them) that Brad would blossom more and become a more integral 'part' of the band if you get my drift and not 'get lost in the background' as he sometimes tends to... Just my humble opinion of course.

Anyway, that's my contribution to the Delson Shrine, or as I like to call it the CoBBB *chuckles*

I do agree with rav, the heavier stuff sure does fit bbb to a tee. speaking of which, im watching Rock am Ring right now on the TV. Brad just did his really awesome hard playing for numb and they are about to do his specality two hand tapping style on OSC. I just think its so cute how when brad runs off stage, he runs in a circle and then goes off. I hate the MTV version of Rock am Ring, its all choppy and not in order at all not to mention the lack of brad shots (mumbles) i was taking a look at this version of OSC on frat party where the video plays normaly but the song plays backward, really strange but none the less pleasing. ok im going to go now but I will be back later tonight

i noticed that when braddles is on stage playing guitar, he usually walks up to different band members and starts talking to them, or just standing by their side. just something i noticed *shrug*

i noticed that too. he also seems to never loose the smile on his face while hes playing. what a social butterfly our braddles. you kno i love that pic. I'm working on a signature with our brad on it. ooh i just might borrow that pic to go with the signature. lol. i wonder about some things with him, you know how everyone says that he has a wife named monica? well just to point out things, but he dosent wear a wedding band, ive never seen pics of them and well (from what I've gathered) ive never seen them together in the bus or anything like I've seen mike chester and dave with their significant others or ex significant otheres in some cases. but anyways, its like all cool. oh i just found out some seriously disturbing news but about it later.

I also wondered that too with respect to his significant other or the theory "Monica." Dany and I discussed this a while back who seems to be under the impression that Brad's very protective of his private life and that his 'other half' is so drop-dead-purty (deliberate misspelling) that he's almost like as protective of that if you get my drift. I'm not altogether convinced, heck, I don't know who's with who anymore except for Mike-Anna and Dave-Lindsay (andmaybe Chas-Talinda) *looks vague* But disturbing news??? Don't hold out, even I'm intrigued and I'm a Rob-fiend not a Brad-hound! *laughs* (descriptive, no?)

BTW, nice pix. Brad's okay, I've nothing against him, but hope it's okay I still meander back and forth in his shrine when I'm devoutly devoted to another? *dreamy sigh*

thats ok rav, im always going to be a member of the CoB. I really wonder about all things like that. but everything is like all good. but hey call me a brad-hound if you like, (you'd only be telling the truth lol) I dont know im thinking that all it is is fan hype stuff. but yeah brad is pretty quiet about things.

^^ yeah and i respect that. he has a right to be private (unfortunately for some people hehe). has anyone ever noticed how painfully hot brad is when he's "clean-shaven" and he's rockin the 'fro?? you can see it on LPTV (looooved braddles' mullet lol...he deserved to win!!). also love that look he has when he's playing guitar (you can see the dedication) or when he's concentrating really really hard on something

Brad Delson's future career was put on track in the 7th grade, which is when he met fellow aspiring musician and Southern California native Mike Shinoda. Originally a trumpet player, Delson had made the inevitable switch to guitar the previous year, another victim to the influence of that devil rock music. In collaboration with Shinoda he would develop his musical skills throughout high school, working to write and record original material in his friend's bedroom studio. Eventually drummer Rob Bourdon (who had earlier (and very briefly) worked with Delson in the band Relative Degree) was brought into the mix, and using the name Xero the three decided to make a serious attempt to become a professional band.

 


After graduation, both Shinoda and Delson moved on to college: Shinoda enrolling at Pasadena Art College to pursue graphic design, and Delson signing up to study communications at UCLA; Delson would later bring his college roomate Dave Phoenix Farrell into the Xero line-up, while Shinoda enlisted DJ (and fellow PAC student) Joseph Hahn. A name change from Xero to Hybrid Theory preceeded the addition of vocalist Chester Bennington, after the arrival of whom the effort to collectively insinuate themselves into the dark orifices of one of the major labels was undertaken with renewed vigor. Public favor proved much easier to sway than did the fickle affection of the corporate minions, but eventually, as 1999 was about to collapse into ruin, the band (now renamed Linkin Park due to the pre-existence of another band called Hybrid Theory) found themselves in the unnatural embrace of Warner Brothers.

 


From the moment of the release of its first album Hybrid Theory (2000) Linkin Park was pulled to the front of the corporate rap/metal (sometimes referred to as 'nu metal') parade. Subsequent releases (the remix album Reanimation (2002), a second studio full-length Meteora (2003), and the band authorized 'mash-up' Collision Course (2004)) failed to reverse that status. In the context of the band's 'media image', Delson distinguised himself from his bandmates through the affectation of always wearing headphones at concerts and in promotional videos. Outside of his involvment in Linkin Park's music and marketing, the guitarist also contributed a monthly column directed at beginning players for Guitar World magazine.
