Being elite is not that big of a deal. You get access to a certain part of these forums, and you get to have a custom user title (I think it's called that), but other than that, it's just the same. Not that I'm saying this elite thing is **** or anything, don't get me wrong.But being elite can give you confidence at times, it means that people appreciate what you give to the forums and the members.

I remember when this elite thing first was introduced, I was like, oh, I so wanna be elite!, for like a week or so, but then I just forgot about it. The fact that I forgot about it helped me contribute better to this site. Don't think and dream about being elite, contribute and act maturely, and one day you will become elite. That's how I see it at least. I just hope you don't misunderstand me and I think I'm praising myself here. Actually this talk about green members slipped out of my deepest sub-conscience until one day, months after elites were brought to LPF, I logged on here, and I was, like wow, WTF? How come I am....

So, you know, elites aren't really better people, they're just experienced on LPF.

It wasn't spam. Yes, I did repeat, but I also asked what it was about. That's not spam.

Holy ****, I missed alot when I was gone..

I think there should be as few elite members as possible, so it's more special to the people who actually are. There's probably about 30-40 right now, and that's too many, at least in my opinion.

I did an unofficial count, and I counted 51 elite members. That's not a lot, out of the 3500 members here. But of course not all are active, that's true.

If there we less then 40ish member's the special access thing would be kinda stupid (I guess the elites know what I'm talking about) Cos the place is basically inactive anyway...

Well at least demote all the inactive elites. Then that would solve the #'s thing, and wouldn't effect the 'special access' thing, w/e that may be, lol.

I disagree. Since we brought the Elite members thing onto the forums, we have had three 'inactive Elites' come back. i think if you've earned the right, you should be able to keep it weather you are here or not...

But hey, thats just me.

That's true, and a good point. But I suppose they could always message a mod or admin if they do come back. But then again, that would be a hassle. Meh, oh well, it's ATL's decision either way, and I'm guessing he'll leave everything the way it is.

So it's not 51/3500, it's more like what, 2000 active members in total? No, probably not so many. Shall we say 51/1000? If it's that way, ca. 5% of active members are elites. That's not a lot.

but I kinda see what Misery means by many elites cause there are not many elites yet when you like see the posts of the members, you almost only see elites..

That´s what I think...

Maybe elites do post a lot. Do I post a lot? Not that much I think, but then again some people post more than others.

Thanks, I hope I do.

I think the thing is you feel accepted, or at least more accepted when you're elite, and so you feel that your opinion is more welcome since you are elite, and therefore it might be (for some, not all) that people are not as afraid to speak their opinion. But of course all opinions are welcomed, elite, mod or regular.

yep that´s right..like it´s almost like that with the noobs I think cause well when you´re new and dont know ppl then it´s hard to like get in sometimes..

and sometimes diff opinions can cause fights too :(

but yeah I agree..

opinions are good :p
