We're talking past each other. You may buy a gun, true, but it's not the 2nd
Amendment that allows such. The 2nd Amendment has no effect on the states or
the individuals within a state. The 2nd Amendment applies only to the
federal government.

For example, no law-abiding citizen in Washington, D.C. has a right to own a
pistol.

This restriction may change by early June.

Actually..no. The Constitution applies to states and individuals.
Misinterpretaion and agenda have been used to violate individuals
Rights. IE..pass unconsitutional laws.

And yes..this restriction may indeed change

The Constitution enumerates restrictions on our government entities.

My rights are God-given and self-evident.

Like most cities, Philadelphia is corrupt and socialist. Its
inhabitants are disarmed and cowardly and its cops can't
shoot straight.

You think screwing around with us will solve your problems?

You have your "rich, ethnic diversity" with all its crime
and chaos, so quit bitching.

The Bill of Rights was originally intended to apply only to the federal
government. This stood until 1925 when the Supreme Court, through the 14th
Amendment, "incorporated" Freedom of Speech from the 1st Amendment upon the
states. Since 1925, most of the other BOR Amendments have been incorporated.
The 2nd has not. The 3rd has not. Indictment by a grand jury has not.
Unanimous jury verdict has not. These, and a few others, apply only to the
federal government.

Minor logical correction: No legislative body can pass an "unconstitutional"
law. All laws passed by legislative bodies are presumed to be constitutional
until deemed otherwise by a court of competent jurisdiction.

of choosing same. Even the author admits so in the story.

Any other silly predictions about me? You are as far off the mark here
as at any other time (and, no, that does NOT mean you have ever come
near the mark in any of your pathetic posts).

ah...no it was not.

The idea of "incorporation" came well after the fact and was a concept
put forth by tyrannical officials trying do to end runs around the
Constititon

the People are the whole, and the sum of the residents of the states.

You will notice that the Constitution makes no disclaimer about
protecting only Federal Citizens.

But hey...keep believing

and when SCOTUS or other courts find them to be unconsitutional...they
were unconstitutional from the onset.

When a law is found to be unconstititutional, anyone convicted under
that law is released.
Or is supposed to be.
