well, what have I been up to lately?

I cracked the ***** with Optus last night, because their stupid internet wouldn't work on my computer. I was really down, I still don't know why I was down, had a cry to Dan about it then had a cry to my brother about it and then called another friend to see if I could cheer myself up and then spent the rest of my phone credit. I just stuffed my face on a salad roll in the cafeteria, which was awesome and drinking this new mineral water **** which is actually quite nice.

I know what my problem is, I think I better take it to the dark room, and it ain't solely my parents this time. I need to see the uni councillor and start considering my uni options my brother told me. Next pay day - I'm getting another piercing :) My labret.

Haha you're cute at times when you're not even trying to be.

I got my net up and working!! Optus is back in my good books. Emailing mum to tell her the good news. Dan got the place in Fox St !!! So I'm moving in there soon. Dan talked me out of getting my labret done, and he's getting his eyebrow pierced for his birthday. Am a bit happier, and about to sit down to watch 1408 with John Cusack in it, good freaking movie I can't believe Dan hasn't seen it !! And oh!! I got the first season of the x-files on dvd today and it has my two fav episodes on it "Squeeze" and "Eve" !!!! *does happy dance!!*

I enjoyed the end of 1408 - I really like movies that keep you guessing what's real and what's not, like sort of blending the grey area between sanity and madness - awesome. Have fun with that. Glad your net's back. WB. Have fun in general and yeah... talk later I guess :)

Oh and while I'm thinkin about it - how come he talked you OUT of getting your peircing but he still gets one, regardless the occasion. Don't get that. I miss my labret *sigh* Miss the subtle temperature changes in the metal... **** work making me take it out... now I look normal again, just like everyone else my age... memories...

As for the X Files. Yay for you (insert sarcasm here). As I told you on the phone last night, I remember the originals, they were good for their time, but some of us just moved on. If they revamped it a little I might enjoy it more - but Mulder just annoys me. Scully's no nonsense attitude is good - right up until she gets abducted etc, then the show just dies in the **** if you ask me. Tooms still rocks. Dunno why, just very memorable for me ;)

Haha, welcome back to normality Rav! The only piercings that are pretty **** well obvious of mine are my ears, and that's like nothing nowadays...The X-Files are just GREAT! Well the parts where Scully didn't have cancer in it/have a daughter named Emily. The Fast Forward take offs of the X-Files are funny as well -

"Oh no look Mouldy, we've got another dead body on our hands"

"So it seems Sulky, so it seems..."

Reminds me. Was in the video store and we were picking out movies, guess what I begged to get? The first X-Files movie, Fight the Future. But instead we got National Treasure II, just watched it and it was a wtf factor 10+ and 1408 which I had seen before in Bathurst with Heather and the year 12 gang of mine.

Well today in Graphics theory, while we were doing our type exercises on the Macs, Patrick, the lecturer put youtube up on the projector and started playing songs. First few songs were by David Byrne (one bit i remember where the guy was singing "in the future..." blah blah so I finally yelled out "in the future no one will listen to you!" < good call made people laugh) and then we started putting in requests. Charlie the Unicorn was one, it's like Robot Chicken and I was just there ******* myself laughing at the cartoon and how the unicorn went into Magic Mountain and got his kidneys removed in the dark! Hahaha. Then it was payback time.

My request to **** everyone off, Barbie Girl by Aqua. Mission achieved. ****** quite a few people off while most of the girls were singing along with it. Then we played I Hate Americans - David Bowie feat. Trent Reznor in the film clip :D :D Wonderwall - Oasis, some Bjork song which had a trippy film clip to it something about a democracy (?) and Iris - Goo Goo Dolls < my request. :D :D

Dark Room tomorrow, well, I mean today :D We get to print today.

So here I am waiting for daniel to come back from uni, I think he's staying over tonight again, cos he has uni tomorrow and I don't...so I've decided I won't set up my printer until he comes back. I perfectly know well how to set it up, I'm a tech freak, lmao, I even broke my mum's computer once and had to install everything and pull apart the computer to see what damage I had caused and this was a couple of years ago! but I just want him to stay a bit longer if he isn't staying tonight and going back to Narrandera, which I find kinda pointless.... so I've realised there are six discs to the first x-files dvd which is gonna keep me occupied :) I have no life so I'm gonna write it out and I make commentry :)

First disc

1. Pilot

Seen it on the X-Files Essentials disc of mine. Good pilot. The audience gets an intro to Dana Scully, and explores a bit of Fox Mulder's past concerning his sister. It seemed too much like a cult sci-fi this episode, but as a pilot it suited the series well. And Scully sets the scene with the "cut the **** Mulder that's not even possible" lines along with the 90s hairdo. Mulder looks half decent in this pilot compared to Scully who looks like blrgh...oh one of my favourite lines comes out of this pilot, Mulder - "So, Scully, you have a Harvard degree in physics? Trust me, you won't be needing that degree in this field."

2. Deep Throat

3. Squeeze

Been yonks since I've seen this episode. I originally read this episode in one of the books of the X-Files and then I saw it on screen. Like the pilot, Scully gets victimised, or is close to being victimised. I think the concept of having that much flexibility is somewhat realistic (and coicendentally being a bile-eating muderer as well,) think of those little chicks in the gymnastics who are like only 14. The ending was just freaky. Eugene Tooms, staring at the small hole in the door, as he sits in a mental hospital staring at that space where the food tray gets inserted, with eery music playing in the background, and giving his killing methods, was like "Oh my ***.....he's going to get out, that freak of nature!" But given there's an episode coming up called Tooms, I'm going to assume there's a part two to this episode. I also like the other cops as well, especially at one point of the episode, they were sitting in the car with Mulder and they agreed to watch the building, and as Mulder left every cop was like "Bye.............Spooky", as Spooky Mulder is his nickname around the FBI. Wouldn't blame the cops, Mulder certainly deals with a lot of weird and twisted cases. It's a good scripted episode and this was a kudos-to-you-Mr-Carter moment.

4. Conduit

Second disc

5. The Jersey Devil

6. Shadows

7. Ghost in the Machine

8. Ice

Can't recall seeing any of the second disc episodes. Mind me, I was like 9 when I was showed the x-files and it gave me nightmares and then my brother got in trouble with my mum for showing me the episodes.

Third disc

9. Space

10. Fallen Angel

11. Eve

One of the greatest episodes to me, that ever exists out of the x-files episodes. The concept of twisting the whole "Adam and Eve" cultural theory really comes into believable play of events surrounding two girls who happened to live on either side of the country, their fathers die at the same time and are somewhat IDENTICAL TWINS, dun dun dun... and knowing Agent Mulder, his expertise is in the area of superstition and cultural beliefs, he gets the job done well.

12. Fire

Fourth disc

13. Beyond the Sea

On the X-Files Essentials disc and that Boggs prisoner dude, wow, whoever played that guy deserved an emmy. It was freaky and I think it was the same guy who played that guy who had befriended Suramon (sp?) in LOTR and was poisoning the King of Rohan (?) yes, Rohan, something about how they hate Gondor for not answering their call, ok, w/e, back to topic, but yes very good. We're introduced to a new character, Dana's mother. It's such a freaky mind game entirely with a prisoner who's on death's row with a psychic ability to find two people before they are killed....while Mulder disbelief in the prisoner leads Scully to believe the prisoner. And because Mulder doesn't think much of Boggs, (because of Mulder a couple of years before helped put Boggs away and thinks this payback) and doesn't listen to Boggs' predictions, Mulder gets shot.

14. Gender Bender

I think I have seen this episode....from what I read on wikipedia I can't wait to watch it!!

15. Lazarus

16. Young at Heart

Fifth disc

17. E. B. E

18. Miracle Man

19. Shapes

20. Darkness Falls

Haven't seen any of the Fifth disc episodes....

Sixth disc

21. Tooms

A well recommended episodes from a bunch of people that I know.

22. Born Again

23. Roland

24. The Erlenmeyer Flask

I should stop watching X-Files. Will be giving my reviews later, cos I'm bored.

lol, maybe. Am watching Squeeze right now and just downloaded a Doors song and currently downloading a film clip I have never seen, yet I love the song so much, Wish I Had An Angel by Nightwish....Optus net is fast!!! Yay!!!!

Okay, here it is yay (sarcasm), the review.

2. Deep Throat

Well, what do we have here? Yet another American government conspiracy/cover up, involving the most corrupted sector of the American army, the military, well, in this case, the airforce. When I first saw Scully with her out of fashion 90s glasses, I was like, no, Scully, no. What I find so amusing by this episode, it's out of the first season (which is notorious for having cases that actually seem plausable) and it's cheesy. The first half an hour of it was great, no doubt about it, but when Mulder gets kidnapped by the military and is sedated and then acts like a monkey on crack for the rest of the episode, it's just too much for me to give this a good rating this episode. But having said that, this a weak episode that David Duchnovy (or w/e can't spell his surname right half the time) for his acting, while Scully tends to whinge a lot in the X-Files, but Gillian Anderson's acting dramatically took a sharp turn into my good books, it's a kudos for her acting in this episode. The first half an hour was great it started to make sense, but seriously, UFO's flying around at night that are actually American planes, is way too much for me to handle. See the first half an hour of it and then I advise to turn it over to Squeeze.
