Sorry, I'm not hugo, and thusly, I don't think the majority of this sites members are idiots. If I felt that way, I assure you I wouldn't be here. All I am saying is that it is apparent that some members what more serious debates out of the debate section. and I frankly don't think that is to much to ask. I love tossing insults as much as anyone, but insults have no place at all in a debate. Debates should be filled with facts, viewpoints, discussion about the topic at hand. Not what they normally turn into. and the mods can control that. If they are up to it. At my old site (and carried over to the site I mod at now) we have a section called "Serious Discussion" where all replies must be relevant and on topic of hte post made, or they will be deleted. For those that want the serious discussion, it is great. If you don't mind a hijacked post or random goofiness, then you make your post in a different catergory. But it would require more work from your mod team to pull that off in the debate section, if they are interested in it.

When you hear about teachers having sexual relationships with their students, most often you hear about female teachers and male students.

Pretty much the only racism I see is so-called minorities forcing it upon me. My job has to have this many African Americans, this many Mexican Americans, this many Women. We have to use supply companys that are owned by Women, African Americans, etc, etc, etc. Meanwhile, the children of these people run around calling each other racial slurs, like it is a badge of honor to proudly show off, but if I (a white person,) say it, it magically becomes a racist comment.

I can assure you that hugo and I have never had the same IP address, as I have two pretty much static ip's. Although, this has been a nice shift from the orginal topic though, hasn't it? Or maybe that was LethalFind's whole idea from the start... Me the same person as hugo, huh? well, I've been compared to worse.

Being saved is: --Being forgiven for your screw ups --the ability to have one-on-one growing relationship with God --knowing that while I am not perfect, I have assurance that God still loves me I hate to get all cliche on you all here, but here goes: What if you are right and there is no God? -If I am living by the example of Jesus- Then I have lived my life with others in the forefront. Sure, I may not be in "heaven," but my life has not been in vain, because I have lived a life full of love, and spend much of my life helping others, bettering myself, and teaching strong morals and ethics to future generations- all in all, making the world a better place for us all. But what if I am right and there is a God? Where are you then?

You all seem mighty bent on trying to make hugo's words say "You are a woman, it is your fault you got beat up or murdered!" and that totally isn't what he is saying. Tizz- sorry to hear about your past abuse, but even so- It was not your fault that you got beat up! Could you have prevented it? Probably, but that doesn't in any way relieve the jackass who did it of any responsibility in carrying it out. Hopefully you have learned from it, and are able to make a positive impact in someone elses life to keep it from happening to them. If not, I thinhk you should find someone. There are absolutely ways that you ladies can prevent abuse, or be on the lookout for abusive boyfirends, and I think that is what hugo is getting at. You women are not all ignorant sperm receptacles- you are living, breathing, thinking human beings and thus can make smart choices on whom you hang around with, date, and have sex with. You can also make safer, proactive choices on where you date, how you date, and what goes on during those dates that can totally help protect you from someone you don't yet know very well. Think about it.

Angie, don't get me wrong. What happened to this girl is absolutely awful, and she in no way deserved it. But I would bet my last dollar that this wasn't his first violent reponse to her, and what does she do? She sneaks out of her parents house to see him? Sorry, but she could have prevented this.

don't know about any official stats or anything, but I have been going toNascar Winston/Nextel Cup races for over 15 years, and I have never seen any kind of violence (unless you can call a guy getting so drunk he falls down the stairs on his own- "Assault with a Stupid Weapon") BUT, I do not doubt that it can happen. That many redneck in one place for that long, drinking beer to the point that they can barely stand up is bound to lead to some altercations. What I don't get is: Why pay so much for race tickets, hotels, beer, etc, if you aren't gonna be able to remember it the next day?
