  1. Very nice score, wow.
  2. It is the few dollars they let me keep getting worthless that scare me the most. The more they print money and borrow from China, the less each of my dollars are worth. It is what it is but I just want them to stop before it gets worse.....I know maybe too much to ask but when your being slowly choked to death what do you do, just sit there silently?
  3. Madness, and Liberals call people like me crazy and racist because I am sick and tired of the Government spending my tax dollars like they are worthless.
  4. You could say that about everything Hugo. The average price of a new home has 30% government mandated costs. Everything from impact fees to red tape just to pull a permit has caused massive increases to the average cost of a home. Most States have opted out of it but the most recent universal code meeting voted in the requirement for all single family dwelling homes to have fire sprinklers added to them. If you give that some thought you might see just how stupid something like that is. Consider that the average residntial area does not have large enough taps to support a 2 inch line to every residence and maintain the required pressures to operate a sprinkler system so to make up for this large reserve storage tanks with pumps will have to be added to every home to power the sprinklers. Combined together your talking about $15,000. Then of course they have to be checked once every year or two years depending on your local State laws. 5. Well I have always thought those who believe redistribution of wealth by force is logical to be a tad off.........but some seem to take their lunacy a little further than other people. Even the voters of his own district look to be rejecting him right now so that is the best question to ask all of these idiots. Why are they not doing what we want? We elect them, they are supposed to represent us, not their own twisted agendas to turn America into a daycare center. I would hate it but if they at least had a majority of America who wanted the Government to take over everything then at least we could say they were only doing what they were being pressured to do from the public. Yes, we all want health care reform, but that can be accomplished for a few hundred million dollars, it does not require America to completely rip everything apart and rebuild it, even if it is rebuilt well (I have reasons to doubt the Government's ability to do that) we still have this massive cost we can't possibly pay for. Tort reform and eliminating state line restraints against competition will reduce costs more than anything the Liberals are proposing.
  6. Exactly. You would think congress would get some ruffled feathers over things like this, if things keep going this way, sooner or later they will all be set aside by Presidential appointments with more power than congress has.
  7. I took a lot of crap from people too, but that goes with the terroritory, I never said the Gators would win big, I knew Alabama was a real force to be dealt with even if other people did not. What I did not plan for was our defense not being able to adjust and stop Alabama as they usually do, there was a lot of missed coverages and arm tackles that caused Alabama to get points that they should not have gotten. Then the lack of defense put more pressure on Tebow to try and cover and when you try too hard, sometimes you fail, as he did Saturday. At least we were beat by a truly great team, that is a little comfort.
  8. Harry Reid decided to again turn to name calling by trying to connect those who do not agree with "his" vision of the healthcare debate with being racist. "Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, 'slow down, stop everything, let's start over.' If you think you've heard these same excuses before, you're right," Reid said Monday. "When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'" "When women spoke up for the right to speak up, they wanted to vote, some insisted they simply, slow down, there will be a better day to do that, today isn't quite right." "When this body was on the verge of guaranteeing equal civil rights to everyone regardless of the color of their skin, some senators resorted to the same filibuster threats that we hear today." Of course the guy who threatened to filibuster the civil rights act of 1957 was Sen. Strom Thurmond, a Democrat.......... Oh, and it was Republicans who led the Nation against slavery. If this guy is too stupid to even know the facts about the insults he is trying (and failing) to toss around, how can we trust his legislation? This guy is truly an idiot, and we should be slowing down, being careful, this is a lot of money being spent on things we don't even know how it will work yet. The people don't even get any services until Obama is out of office so why get in a hurry when there is no way people can benefit from the legislation for 5 years? The only reason Reid and company want this thing rammed through is they know it will not stand the test of scrutiney, there are major problems he wants swept under the rug.
  9. I don't think I will ever go get the "piece of paper" with Tami but I do love her with all my heart. Like you said, it seems we go from person to person each time believing "this is the one" but more often than not that is not the case. I think part of the reason relationships don't work out is we are more of an instant gratification society these days and when things are not working out, we cut and run from just about everything when we used to work harder on fixing problems. Another big problem as I see it is we are bored too easily. We have too much time on our hands and instead of working an entire day just to prepare a meal for the family, now we have dinner done in 15 minutes, toss the dishes in the washer and have nothing else to do. So off to the idiot box we go to find entertainment to fill out our evening and what do we see? Certainly not happily married couples living together for 50 years. I hope things can last this time, I have never known a woman who didn't play mind games before and I will stay with her as long as she will have me.
  10. If your not paying taxes your liberal and will vote for more entitlements. People who pay taxes will vote conservative to spend our tax money wisely. Remember there are only 4 ways to spend money. Spending other people's money on yourself. That is what these no tax paying voters always vote for. ?If pigs could vote, the man with the slop bucket would be elected swineherd every time, no matter how much slaughtering he did on the side.? ~ Orson Scott
  11. Well our defense did not show up to play football, we lost by a good margin but being beat by a team like Alabama with how they have been playing this year is no insult. I told you guys Nebraska was no pushover, Texas should have lost that game but sneaked out with a win purely by luck, they will not stand a chance against Alabama.
  12. Gropenhagen Conference: Prostitutes Offer Free Climate Summit Sex - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News - International Danish sex workers are offering free sex to COP15 in order to defend their industry. Copenhagen Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards to city hotels warning summit guests not to patronize Danish sex workers during the upcoming conference. Now, the prostitutes have struck back, offering free sex to anyone who produces one of the warnings. Copenhagen's city council in conjunction with Lord Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards out to 160 Copenhagen hotels urging COP15 guests and delegates to 'Be sustainable - don't buy sex'. "Dear hotel owner, we would like to urge you not to arrange contacts between hotel guests and prostitutes," the approach to hotels says. Now, Copenhagen prostitutes are up in arms, saying that the council has no business meddling in their affairs. They have now offered free sex to anyone who can produce one of the offending postcards and their COP15 identity card, according to the Web site avisen.dk. Discrimination According to the report, the move has been organized by the Sex Workers Interest Group (SIO). "This is sheer discrimination. Ritt Bjerregaard is abusing her position as Lord Mayor in using her power to prevent us carrying out our perfectly legal job. I don't understand how she can be allowed to contact people in this way," SIO Spokeswoman Susanne M?ller tells avisen.dk. M?ller adds that it is reprehensible and unfair that Copenhagen politicians have chosen to use the UN Climate Summit as a platform for a hetz against sex workers. "But they've done it and we have to defend ourselves," M?ller says.
  13. Why would you say it sucks? The game itself is awsome, just because the playoff situation has some big flaws, that does not make everything bad. You still have competition and team play, hard work and strategy, attention to detail and individual effort, there is a long list of great things about college football. BM, you want to talk about a tough schedule, how about Arkansas? Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, ole Miss, and LSU.......now there is a tough season.
  14. I agree that Texas should win but my point was the flaw in the BCS system. That said, I don't think Nebraska will be as much of a push over as some people think. Texas should win but I believe the line is 15 points, I don't think it will be by that much. Nebraska might have the motivation advantage while the Texas players might believe the hype and not take this game seriously. That is why Alabama lost to Utah last year in the sugar bowl, Alabama had a bad attitude after their loss to Florida and thought Utah was not in their league so they did not take Utah seriously. Utah cleaned the field with Alabama when it "should" have been an easy win for Alabama. When Florida beat Ohio for the National championship you had the same thing with Ohio, on paper Ohio was better and everyone was predicting Ohio to beat Florida. Ohio got the fast score and did nothing after that, my high school football team could have beat Ohio that day, but they were ranked #1 in the Nation and was easily beat by the team they did not take seriously.
  15. My Gators and Alabama are meeting up in what some (including me) are calling the true National Championship game this weekend. On all the polls they are number 1 and 2 in the Nation and whoever wins this game will be facing a lower ranked team for the BCS championship game, I believe this is another great example of how badly we need a playoff for college football. There has been a little talk that if Texas loses against Nebraska, that either Florida or Alabama with one loss should be ranked higher than TCU or Cincinnati so then what? Do they play each other again for the BCS title? Going by strength of schedule, Texas is close to Florida and Alabama but TCU and Cincinnati are not even close. Going by the numbers, a single loss Florida or Alabama is clearly better than either of those teams. But will the people with the power "want" to see them play again? I doubt it so they will manuver a different team into possition to play even though they are not worthy of the game. Now that the SEC has become so much more powerful than any other Football conference, this problem with having two or more teams in the top slots of the BCS will be more of an issue and I say we need to change things to create a playoff instead of letting a few guys decide who plays what games based on what they "think" will better for ratings and advertising income. edit Forgot to make my prediction for the game, Alabama up in the first half, Gators come back in the second half and win by 10 points.
  16. You should not be allowed to vote unless your tax returns show you paid more tax money in than you got back. This excludes all Government employees because they are not paying one cent in tax.
  17. Another example of how "change" for the sake of change rarely works out.
  18. Experience really does matter, even Hillary and Biden both said Obama was too inexperienced to be President during the campaign. The experience that Obama and his crowd brings to the table is one of Government reliance, spending tax payer's money. Never working to produce a product or service that a consumer would pay for. None of these guys have a clue what the private sector needs. I said a long time ago that Obama will go down in history as the President who killed the most private sector jobs and so far, I am right, at least on the jobs themselves, the question is will people come out and say it openly or not.
  19. lol. I agree, it is a difficult time for the woman. If you thought I was trying to dismiss what the women go through then I am sorry for that, becuase I am not. I have tried to say a couple times I do not blame the women for what is happening to them and I mean that. I was just trying to say the man's situation is not all peaches and cream as so many people try to say it is. In many ways studies have shown that psychological stress is much worse than physical stress and my point is the man is certainly enduring a lot of psychological stress during the process. I meant no offense em, just trying to get a little credit for us men in an area we never get any credit for.
  20. Just to clarify I did try to say this was pushed by the chemical dance that was happening in the woman. I don't think it is done on purpose or anything, I was just saying that men have a hard enough time trying to understand women as it is but this takes the situation to a new level. I guess I was trying to say we are not just sitting on the couch with the remote and not a care in the world as so many try to say we are, lol. I loved my ex-wife very much. Seeing her in discomfort was hard for me and I remember spending a lot of time with back rubs and foot rubs, baths, pillows, hot packs, cold packs, an endless supply of food items that none the less was insufficient and required regular trips to the store for things I didn't have, but I didn't mind because I loved her, not to mention how excited/scared I was at being a father of this new life and the responsibilities that went with it. No, child bearing is not easy for men, at least not for this man, lol. em, it is interesting you hated the smell of peanut butter, the ex craved peanut butter all the time with my youngest, peanut butter and bannanna sandwiches in fact, lol.
  21. With the current comments about waiting for a child to be born I thought I would offer my view on men and how the child bearing process is not as easy for us as so many women try to make it seem. Unlike popular belief, men are "doers". Sure we put off a lot of things sometimes but once we have a serious enough situation that needs to be dealt with, we tend to look for the "fix" and get it done. When our significant other is pregnant this normally hard to understand female now has a massive chemical enduced mood swing that has us looking for a "fix" that is not attainable. No matter how many midnight runs to the store to get things you don't have, there is no possible way to make this person happy. At most you can get short term passification followed by more unhappy and what seems to be crazy requests. This situation is difficult and confusing for the man but the time of labor can be enough to drive them completely mad. We see the woman we locve in great discomfort and our every instinct is to try and help but there really is nothing we can do so we feel helpless but at the same time we are trying to be supportive and for a man who is feeling completely helpless....this can be a very tough time, but then you have the few men who must face a completely different situation. Sometimes the woman will enter a kind of crazy state where she will scream, yell, call her man names and blame him for her condition as if he had committed genocide in a African village. Physical abuse is not unheard of to include stabbing and throwing things at the father. I have a close friend who had this happen to him and they even got part of it on tape but that was erased and to this day she will not allow any discussion of it and refuses to admit she acted that way. To his credit he does not hold any anger or hurt feelings for her treating him that way, but I believe saying men "have it easy" is a great disservice to fathers in general. I have had three children and all of them brought slightly different situations into the picture. What I always thought was interesting was the cravings. The old "ice cream and pickles" never happened but I remember things like chicken wings and eggs for breakfast or 3 runs to Taco Bell on the same evening. Oreo cookies and cream cheese. What are some of the weirdest cravings you guys have heard of?
  22. I don't really have an issue if the people sell their story, don't the news groups make big money from reporting sensational stories? Even people like Obama get payment of sorts by exacting promises for good treatment and avoiding certain questions/topics. Everyone seems to be getting something for their interviews so why not these two? I think it is funny as hell to be honest. Two people get to crash this super special party meant only for the elite Obama crowd..........nice. I bet the SS will be a mess over it though, they could have been there to do something not very nice to Obama or other leaders there and they were given full access to do just that. I predict at least 6 people get canned over it, lol.
  23. And his sister treated his gunshot wound and gave him cash money, there seems to be a long list of people who were helping this guy.
  24. The guy was shot to death today, there is a story brewing that many of the gunman's family and friends were involved in helping him try and get away and will be arrested. If these people did help him when they knew what he did, they deserve to go to prison in my opinion.
