Ok, so I was looking over the quad this weekend. a few notes.. lights, my quad has none on it.. should I look at getting some to pre run with? clark or IMS tank? I am going to change out levers any ideas on what to get what do you like? (also going to change out cables as well) I need to put a clutch on, any recommendations? going to go through it and check everything the next week or so then go out and start getting some seat time on it.

Sorry I have been quite, work is kicking my **** right now.. I have two more trips this yr. Atlanta then Toronto. So i will be around a little more.

those are the levers that ill have in my quad.. recommended by todd..

i got the PRO X CRF450R clutch.. which one from here, i cant remember. but i know its for the CRF.

ok guys just to give you guys an example of how the race map will look. heres the current Baja pits map for this 1000.



as you can see. it has the aprox location of each pit..so we can use this to set up an approximate spot where to swap riders..

i dont plan on driking at all. just a few beers here and there since i dont want to dehydrate my self. and yes you should be able to atleast track the race..

other thing that i saw , ihave a plan to track the quad but ill need 1-2 laptops and spend some $ on the internet...

idea: since the new tracking system actually works, i thing we can use a laptop and the telcel 3g usb for satelite internet to track the ACTUAL location of the quad...

i dont know the price of it yet but ill ask once i get to Baja in 21 days... yeahhh

the spot tracker things works good.. I have a friend that used the gen1 for road trips I was her 911 call and ended up using it when she had a blow out one night. I can pick it up for taking her to dinner, I will get it activated and test it to see if everything is still working. I think i can even get the ram mount for it from her as well..

Btw guys. We need to start on the deposits. So once i check hotels during the 1000 i can go and reserve as soon as posdible and get the best rate posible..

I have an extra laptop and I also have a wireless card, that we can use.

So I guess I'm going to conform to the twist throttle mine is on the way I got it for 30 buck with grips. I have a friend that owed me a favor so he's hooking me up with it. I never thought I'd go back to a twist, but I'll be dammed out there on the race course if I don't get used to it now.

also I got good news on the hotel. I used BOOKING.COM for this 1000 trip and the hotel was overbooked . so they said they own me so ill try to used them to book for the race and hopefully get some sort of discount..

I love the asv levers they are awesome my clutch lever is now effortless to use. I also just got an ims tank and the fit and finish on it is great, and I'm pretty sure the ims offers the biggest tank out there volume wise.

i like my clarke and so far so good. and ill cant wait also to finally ride and get my stuff done...

Toasted the motor on the quad, it looks like something in the bottom end, lower rod bearing most likely, I guess it's time to build it, I'm thinking stock crank, Carrillo rod, cp piston, stage 2 cam with a nice intake system, I want it reliable. But still real snotty. Any other ideas out there?
