Law was changed in the same way RO. A Jury of your peers were supposed to be people whi "knew" you. They knew if you deserved some slack or if you were a lost cause so they could do what was right for the community. Now it ia all about who has the best actor (sometimes called a lawyer) and can entertain the just of complete strangers the best.

I believe the spark of a child is truly the thing that makes our lives special. As Ali says, we can have everything and nothing at the same time. Everything as far as money can go, and nothing as far as real life is concerned. It is the time we share with another person, the life we share with those we love, and the real 'magic' that our children bring to our lives that truly is everything that gives lasting meaning to our life.

I don't remember there being anything in the Constitution about the public being forced to "look after one another". Each person should be responsible for himself. If people want to help a person out of the goodness of their heart, that is a wonderful thing and should be encouraged, but not "forced". When a powerful man with a gun forces me to give him money or face a threat of harm, that is called robbery. Seems like once again a sore loser can dish out abuse hundreds of times, but can't take one speck of it returned.....and I didn't even try to take a shot at you Ali, that is the real funny part. You just brought to mind my son's best friend and his problems with being mixed Ali, I am sorry if your so fast to explode you won't even read all of what I say these days, if you did you might have shown a tad more respect for the issue I was pointing out about how tough life can be for mixed kids.

How about the underdogs this weekend? Washington over USC? Who saw that one comming? Florida State over BYU I thought as possible but 54/28? Heck no. Oregon over Utah? Then there were the good games where many people thought big spreads were going to happen but the teams did much better than expected and good teams played to lower expectations. My own Gators showed some weakness this past Saturday and we will need some serious work done. We had too many arm tackles broken and we are weak against a good pass protection, but we are not one dementional and took what was offered to get the win. I was proud of many teams this weekend who put up great opposition to what was considered "better" teams. Texas Tech did much better then the ten point spread shows, and against a top team like Texas, I thought they did very well. Tennessee did great against my Gators, but their coach did some trash talking that I think was not good for the sport. The Georgia/Arkansas game was a really good one. I really thought the Razorbacks were going to take the bulldogs out there for a little while, but it was a great contest. The standings was shaken up a bunch this weekend, USC dropped down to #12 after getting beat by Washington, BYU went from 7 to 19, and Utah was dropped from the list. Things are getting mixed up a lot.

Well you do see mexican and black guys with the big white girls more than white guys with big white girls........I know blacks and mexicans do like their women to be thicker on average than white guys so I understand that....and maybe that is the same thing that has the big white girls looking to other races if the white guys don't really tend to like them....I guess. The only part I don't like is the mixed kids, not because I am racist or anything but because I have seen up close how the mixed kids have a very difficult time fitting in with society. My son's best friend is mixed and he had a lot of problems growing up in a world where he was not completely white, and not completely black. He told me if anything, it was the blacks who were more cruel than the whites. He is like my own son and he even comes to see me for my birthdays and father's day. I love that kid (now a young man). I just wish I could have saved him from that pain.

Of course it is a new tax if the Governemnt is forcing you to pay more money you do not want to spend and there is a huge difference between car insurance and health insurance requirements. Driving a car is a Privilege, having insurance is part of the responsibility of car ownership for your driving Privilege. Living is not a Privilege, so why are Liberals wanting to force Americans to pay for their live as if it were a Privilege to be allowed to live?

Where I live there are not too many kids or even people who live close enough to go door to door. We still put out some decorations at the road and I have a thing I built that shelters a big bowl of candy but only about half of the candy gets taken. So, we do the fall festival celebration through our church where there are games and candy and food so we can bring the kids together for fun. Then one of my circle will do a halloween party for the evening and we all gather there for more fun with the kids all wired from the sugar bouncing around like a ball in a pinball maching, lol. Great fun

We are water babies, from fishing, boating, swimming, beach going we get a lot of sun and while we do use sunscreen we all end up golden brown by the end of summer each year. Tami will sometimes hit the beds to keep herself a little brown during the winter monts but I don't worry about it. I will admit I sometimes kid my friends who are very white, they take it in good stride though, a common reply from them is "at least I don't look the color of poo" lol.

He even called Crowley and Gates personally and invited them to discuss the incident over a beer at the White House. " Obama did not come up with the Beer summit, that idea was from Crowley, the police officer, not Obama. As far as a couple liberal cops speaking to defend Obama's racist comments or to defend Gates' racist comments.....sure, just like Carter has said anyone who does not agree with Obama is a racist but does Carter's words mean we are racists as he claimed? No. And neither is Crowley or anyone else just because a retired cop or a Miami chief says so, they were not there, none of them were so they can't say how it should have been done. These couple guys are flying in the face of thousands of police chiefs and policemen on the street that all support Crowley. They are certainly entitled to their opinions, but telling all cops they have to run away anytime a person plays the "race card" is simply bad policy. And bad for all of society. How much better are we getting along as a Nation with a race pimp in office?

Insane? I don't know if I would call Obama our generations anti-Christ but I can see the point. Who in America is causing more strife on a society scale than Obama right now? Let me offer an example, on his own or asked by Obama Carter comes out and calls everyone who does not support Obama racists, Obama a couple days later sends out a nothing functionary out of his staff to say he does not believe everyone is racist.......out of the two, what statement has the greater impast on the general population? Obama knows the only way to counter this is if he "himself" comes out and directly shoots down the "race card" ploy. Obama has had about 40 press conferences about his healthcare ideas without actually saying any specifics but he can't find time to directly speak against these "race card" tactics? Obama is in the possition to ease this stress, but he does not want to, so the stress obviously serves his purposes. Is that what some would call "evil"? Maybe.

I have to admit that I am usually very interested in how much some of you obsess about me over the weekends, when I have my kids the internet is not usually something I will waste my time on, priorities and all that, but I have to say you guys have taken things to a whole new level, I am flattered to be such a huge part of your every day lives, I must mean more to you guys than you will let yourselves admit. ?What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can truly manage time (the clock), it is important to know where you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which direction you are headed (the compass). Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going. Rather than always focusing on what's urgent, learn to focus on what is really important.?

I was actually not a good friend for MrsK either, that was my point, I had no dog in that fight and was posting my opinion based purely on how I saw it as unfair and unreasonable to rip MrsK apart just because Ali and eddo were looking for revenge. Actually if you think about it, eddo was the only guy I really knew there so if anything I would be more prone to lean to supporting eddo in that situation but their behavior was so over the top I really had no choice but to tell it for what it was.

A person on another forum this has all boiled over from. I was invited from here to go there by eddo and the first thing I was involved in was watching Ali and eddo rip into MrsK over her choice of husband who was in prison. I agree with both Ali and eddo that I at that time had no idea what was in their past in dealing with MrsK but that past was irrelivant to me because my point was based on their behaviors, not hers. I felt there was no justification to ever treat another human being that way but for some reason Ali and eddo felt their past dealings with MrsK justified their actions. When I asked them to enlighten me about their past dealings with MrsK they spoke of her being ugly to them in other discussions and how she treated them poorly........... So that is when I made an observation that seems to be true about them both with me from that day to today......they were not attacking MrsK because of that topic but instead saw a chance to take some "revenge" against MrsK for what they saw as past misdeeds against them in other discussions. That is why they kept talking about the "history" they had with MrsK, that "history" justified their desire for REVENGE just like that is their driving force to go after me now, it is all about them feeding their revenge monster.

She follows the attack line you and Ali have set up pretty well, especially when you two are already in the motion. She also has been one of the few who say I am telling lies about every aspect of my life as you do. So you do as I asked Ali to do and look at all your posts, just go back 50 posts and tell me how many of those have been nice eddo. Maybe one, if that so how do you expect me to respond? The last time this subject came up you offered a positive reputation entry as your only example of being nice to me eddo. Nothing has changed sense then. You even went on a tirade against my spelling eddo......until you messed up yourself (such as your use of "every" instead of "ever" I marked above. You mess up spelling too but only "I" get flammed for it. Why would you flame me for spelling? Why go out of your way to try and call me obese and such? Did she have to fulfill certain tasks and behave as you wanted her to behave to "purchase" decent trereatment from you two?

That is one interesting way of looking at it. Each time these things were set into motion the estimates of what they would cost were very, very low compared to what they actually ended up being so with our Government saying this will cost 1 trillion dollars, using history as a guide that means it will actually cost about 4 trillion dollars and that is just the first ten years. Do you guys think they intentionally downplay the cost to get these things passed or do you think they are just not smart enough to put a real pricetag on them?

You missed the point I was making. Jesus was perfect, but he did not write a single bible or design any specific religion. These works of man are imperfect because the men who designed them are imperfect. My point will always be that the ability for the general populace to read is a very recent event and a great deal of the world still cannot read so how can people say that salvation or a connection to God can only be found inside a specific Church or by reading one or another translation of ancient texts that are themselves translations and stories passed word of mouth down generations? I don't have a problem with any specific brance of faith, but I have to face the fact that if there was perfection to be found, why are we splintered into so many factions based on the same ancient texts?
