yeah, it's pretty socialist. not socialist as in communist, but it's a welfare party, welfare being a good word. everyone taking care of each other, not always the endless competition. it basically supports the free market economy, which to an extent is great, but also emphasizes the nordic welfare systemso did you vote for what would fundamentaly be the socialist party? I would vote Labour on the grounds of their socialist origins but unfortunatly they have moved centre-ground. Not that i have anything against moderate centreground politics, its just that whilst they are labout at the moment they have blured the lines too much with the Conservatives (who i really hate, especially David 'Dave' Cameron, who incidentaly i met a few days ago).
but, yeah, but are the main party in iceland right wing bc they are basically a nationalist party because of how iceland use to be ruled by Denmark. (again, i know nothing about your country's history/politics so dont laugh at me if this is a stupid question).
yeah same here with the social democrats here, they've moved to the centre more
didn't tony blair basically move labour more to the right, to get votes from those who would've voted conservative? I heard that
they are somewhat nationalist, but they're more concerned right now with the libertarian policy. historically I think they've been the party to push for independence, that's the name of the party at least. right now there's just too many people voting for them cause their parents did so...
