***, i love the difference in pronouncation people have, In england it would be Ice-Land with an empathsis on the D, not a Len instead.

we were in the south part...Faro or near that

it was fun...and hot! xD

IJsland...does that mean anything? Like in German the name is Island, but to get the meaning right it would have to be Eisland (iceland)

arnt different languages just fastinating! Im not actaully being sarcastic, i actually find linguistic and the history of language so interesting alongside anthropology!

how would u pronounce 'LJ' ??

i use to think that dutch would be like a cross between french and german due to its geographical location however it really is language in its own right!!

Some dutch words sound like german words

If you look the difference in how you pronounce germany in dutch it is

In German = Deutschland

In Dutch = Duitsland :p
