It wasn't just the fact that there were, dozens of frivilous, claims (more proof that there needs to be tort reform in this country so you can't just make claims like this or sue people without cause). It's the fact that it's not only costing her close to $1 mil to defend herself, but the state oodles of money too. Not just in legal fees, but it's taking state employees time away from the jobs they should be doing and could be doing if not for all the false and pending accusations.

That's what she says. Time will tell all the details soon enough and just how frivilous these lawsuits were. She should have still finished her term and faced things head on if she's done no wrong. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear = a clear conscience. But she always wants to do things her own way and to be the exception of the rules.

Anything can be too much in excess.
How many times would you want to fight fake complaints and how much of your savings would you want to spend on standing against these false claims?
As a parent alone you have to let go of pride and remember that if she goes broke fighting these false claims it is her children who will suffer for that pride.
Will you volunteer to pay her legal fees if she fights?

I heard the Palins are more than a half a million in debt.
There is more money to be made privately and she'll probably do a host of radio shows, talk shows, etc. Not to mention a book deal(s) and the royalties from Nerdy Glasses For Hot Bureaucrats.
I am still glad she is on her way out.

Volunteer to pay her legal fees?
That's an asinine question! She's saying if she has nothing to hide she should fight. Politics always have a lot of intense personal scrutinizing. If she can't handle it...it's a good thing she's getting out. No one needs someone who bails when things get a little warm. She may have legal fees in around 1 million dollars, but she also has a 12 million dollar home. Perhaps she shouldn't be living so large already.

On the other hand, if I didn't do anything wrong and had nothing to hide I'd be more than willing to really fight and defend my self, my good name and reputation. Blind fighting is all pride, and pride does not put groceries on the table.
I love the house comment too, like she should have to lose her home and the home of her children just to fight false claims. Easy to claim you ladies would take your family down into complete distruction just for pride alone......I know I would never do anything of the sort, my children are more valuable to me than my pride.

Yeah and a 12 million dollar home she doesn't even need to be living in at all! She's really supposed to be living in the governor's mansion (or was, since she's quit.) But in not doing so, she's accrued over $18,000 in taxes, which I don't think she's paid yet. Along with other unecessary costs she's cost the tax payers in Alaska, like flying her daughters and their friends places for so-called "state business" (yeah right!) That's racked up almost $22,000 in flights and hotel stays alone.
Hm, maybe these are some of the 'frivilous' lawsuits that are being brought against her? Also, did she ever return the 150 grand worth of clothes she bought during the campaigning with McCain??

I guess he forgets she was found guilty of ethics violations and had to buy her way out of not going to jail. She calls them frivolous lawsuits. If they were frivolous, she wouldn't have been found guilty. Now she's trying to play it where she is such a victim. Right..

You really are an idiot. What she was doing is living in her house and traveling to Anchorage to do business (instead of just living in the mansion in Juneau). That's like if Obama was still living here in IL yet traveling all of the time to DC to do business. No one said anything about selling, genius.

Sure you did, you said she could sell it to pay her legal bills and she didn't need it anyway because she was supposed to be living elsewhere.
But my point is she will not be govenor forever just like Obama will not be President forever so why should she sell her home and have no home for herself and her children just to pay for false legal battles?
Seems sort of stupid to be standing on the street with no home but you can claim your pride is intact.

And btw, I don't think Mrs. Palin is being forced to sell anything to defend herself. She made a nice salary as governor. And her husband makes a nice salary, too. There are no excuses, so stop acting like she is a poor single mother working retail and will be out on her *** if she defends herself!
