Law of averages would put in a few complications but let's try to keep it low and even leave out prenatal care and stuff. All of these children are in low income families so it is reasonable to assume these kids would be forced into the welfare system so we have 18 years of welfare for each child and assuming these girls all stop at one child and not have several children each we can try to figure out the real cost to the taxpayer. 119 x 10k = $1,190,000 for just the births alone. 119 children and 119 mothers on the welfare system for 18 years. Figure low at $500 per person a month to cover the food stamps, government housing, medical expenses and government provided eduction from a person not paying taxes (again this is a very low number for the sake of being fair). so 119 + 119 X $500 X 12months X 18 years = $25,704,000 for follow up care on the unwanted births. Added together we get a cost of $26,894,000 compared to a prevention cost of $900,000, I say the prevention is way more cost effective. Then of course there is the human cost, how much pain do we allow by playing blind to this issue?

Good results and bad results are valuable learning tools. Sure it may sound on the edge, but we have too look at reality, we can't just continue to do nothing and expect kids to fix themselves. I also would like to see something done for the guys, expanding this program looks possible on many fronts and it is a lot cheaper then the Government paying for welfare and medical for the unwanted child.

Well I had to look that up, skin care, well that is a big deal here in Florida. Even if you train someone else a career here might be easier becuse we have lots and lots of big spas. Well they have some beaches but when the weather allows the trips, they are very crowded. I had a friend who is from there and he told me going to the beach was a major pain. In Florida you can go to the beach almost year round.

When are you planning on moving? We use the river house during the summer a lot but rarely stay there in the winter, if you pay the utilities that you create you can stay there for free and take time to find your own place. Florida is great, short drives to just about any kind of experience you could ever want, there are even little pockets of Greeks here, just awsome, but it does get pretty hot. I would hope so, but being more irratable or worse is a common complaint for those who are quitting. I was going to the extreme with "the button" but there are many ways a President might behave differently in that situation. Maybe?

Thanks, I know my own time in the military trained in fire direction control for MLRS (multiple launch rocket system) and lance missles did not offer me much civilian life job opportunities, lol. Right now he is on the fence as to if he wants to make the Marines a career or not but either way, he should have no problems finding a job when he gets out. Just one more thing to offer a father some assurance that his child will be fine in life, lol.

I was also a smoker for a very long time. I got fully hooked in the Army where I could get a carton for $5. I always knew my habit was not a 'good' habit and even refused to smoke in my house or around my children. For me quitting was not possible until one day I was very sick and severely conjested, just regular breathing was a chore but I dragged myself out back to smoke and finally understood how stupid I was for letting myself live the life of addiction. I also went cold turkey, I believe that is the best way, but then again, do we really want our President to be suffereing from nicotine withdrawal with his finger on "the button"?

lol, now that was funny, good one, one thing I like about you is your wit. Believe it or not I missed a lot of you guys, sure there are good and bad in all things but if you only remember the bad your life will not be a fun one. I instead choose to let the bad things in my life run off my back like water on a duck and hold onto the good things and good memories. This is one of my greatest abilities (in my opinion). My only lack on this is not doing it well in the short run. There is not one person here that I cannot find something I really like about them, not one. Even the most obvious choice some of you might say I dislike is a guy who I believe is very smart and has great points on things but who has other issues that get in the way, at least for me if nobody else.

Leadership is stepping up and getting behind the right thing, if someone has to tell you what the right thing is or if to you the only right thing is whatever is popular, then to me that shows a severe lack of leadership.........but that is just me.

Sounds awsome, my son is finishing up his job training in the Marines, he scored very high on his placement test so they have him in a technical field. He will be working on electrical components of aircraft, like altimeters and even night vision goggles they wear. He is comming home for the July 4th weekend so we are planning a big blast for him. I am excited.
