  1. Where to start...... While this sounds good it is a completely unrealistic goal because we need Americans to conserve, a thing nobody is willing to do so whatever axctions we want to consider, we must stay inside the realm of reality. Even if we opened up all the restricted areas for drilling (liberals will stop this) we could not possibly meet our needs today, much less the increased needs that are going to come. I don't see how this is GW's fault, he does not make the guidelines, maybe some consideration by the liberal controlled Congress is in order. Isolationist tactics will not work, our society is too fully immersed into the PC religion to change now. We are letting in more ME people because we feel guilty for attacking ME people. We have lots of nutcases that are Americans. We have them blaming ourselves for 9/11, we even have them claiming Bush made the attack and not Muslims. We can't stop hundreds of billions of dollars worth of drugs from entering the Country, if a determined terrorist wants in, no amount of immigration laws or technology will be able to stop him.
  2. The rules seem pretty fair on the surface but as with all rules, it is in the enforcement that matters, not the rules themselves. I do have a couple questions though: There is a certain member who posts profanity all the time and uses tricks to avoid the filter, if the "intent" is to use profanity but special spellings and such are used, is that the same as using the correct spellings? If a staff member is the one quoting the ignored person such as the incident I PM'd you a couple days ago, what then? I have real issues with the ignore system because that puts the pressure of moderating offensive members on the other members instead of on the staff but in the attempt to keep the peace here, I have just put Wez on my ignore list. This will be the first forum I have ever been a part of that this function was used by me, and it truly saddens me to be completely honest. The last thing that a member cannot play ostrich with is the shoutbox though, maybe something should be considered to deal with that problem as well, maybe allow a member to shut off the shoutbox if we are going to stick with the ostrich approach to moderation.
  3. West Palm is on the Eastern coast above Fort Lauderdale. I am at Gainesville, north central Florida, I would say a good 3.5 hour drive for me away. This kind of action by young kids is just another symptom of what happens when we try to run a society that has broken families. I would bet three months income that both of these kids don't have a father in the home, anyone willing to take me up on that bet?
  4. If they can get it in front of a jury there is a very good chance she will get many millions of dollars awarded to her because of the "Robin Hood" mentality so many people have these days.
  5. That was mostly done By Bill Clinton and we got 9/11 as our reward for backing off and just letting things unfold. Clinton basically gave our military to the UN and begged their permission to do 99% of everything we did. More than 90% of our CIA actions were scrapped and ordered to end by Bill as well. We ignored several open attacks on American interests and tried to directly make peace with the radicals. After we told the world we will do as we please and displayed a little muscle, for some reason we have not had any attacks. This is real basic logic, we show ourselves to be whips like Bill Clinton and we invite ourselves to be attacked in more and more horrible ways. We show ourselves willing to kick some behind and the radicals start looking for easier targets. We can't "love" our way out of problems, look at how many times France has been defeated and they have always been kissing behinds. Now they are being torn apart with muslim extremists. Canada has a long history of bending over backwards to appease Muslims and there have been many radical training grounds discovered there as well as plots stopped. Australia also bends over backwards to appease Muslims and they have the biggest Muslim gang rape problem in the non-Muslim world. See a trend forming?
  6. Now that was a mouthful. I agree, responsibility and accountability need to be reinstated into all people's lives, now the next question, a much more difficult question this time: How do we make that happen?
  7. No it is not possible, we did nothing but help in places like Afganistan, hell prior to the attack on 9/11, did you know America provided most of the edible food to that Country? We help them fight odd Russia, we make it possible for them to eat, but they want us all dead, that is the mentality we are fighting. Thanks for reminding me why everyone sees you as an idiot, I won't reply to you on this topic again so feel free to post more anti-american "we deserved 9/11 garbage" without me getting in your way.
  8. Clinton completely ignored them and was the most popular American President in all of the muslim world, and we got 9/11 as a reward for keeping our hands in our pockets, maybe you liked being hit on 9/11, your always so against everything American, were you one of the kids dancing in the streets after the attack Wez? 9/11 is what we get for refusing to stand up to agression.
  9. 1,500 posts of garbage like this is why nobody takes you seriously Wez.
  10. Look Wez, I am trying to ignore your wacko junk as much as possible to keep the peace around here so I would appreciate it if you would keep your America hatred to yourself. The muslims have been killing innocent western people far longer and on a more regular pace than westerners. If you take the time to learn about things you would see how America gave Afganistan the ability to defend themselves against the Russians and then these same people show their appreciation by doing things like cutting off the heads of news people (who mostly agree and support them) killing children, killing any innocent they can find for the fear factor, doing attacks like 9/11, ........... Yes, there is killing on both sides, but it is not the act that is important, it is the motivations behind the attack that matter. We are tageting real attackers while their favorite victims are children and other innocents, these two things are worlds apart on intent, and if your incapable of seeing how intentions are different and changes things, there is no hope for you.
  11. Well I doubt anyone works 23.5 hours a day only giving you 30 minutes for sleeping and cleaning and this is my point, there is always time for the things that are important, but it is up to each of us to decide what things are important. My dad has a saying I love: "If you didn't have time to do it right the first time, what makes you think your gonna have time to do it right later?" Let's offer a better example that better shows what is happening to our girls: Your house develops a tiny leak in the roof. You are busy and don't have much money so you put off fixing the leak. As time goes by the leak slowly gets worse but is not creating any real visible problem to your daily life, the stain is in an unused section of the house and you have more important things to worry about. The leak starts getting very bad and your using pans to catch water during rainy days but again, you know there is a problem but other things are more important right now, you will get to it one day...... Then the neglected roof with it's rotten wood collapses into the home, taking with it many other items that were previously okay, maybe there is even a loved one who get's harmed by the falling roof. While this is bad the next thing that happens is the insurance company inspects the damage and denies the claim because the owner ignored the leak problem that resulted in the damage. Now your responsible for a mortgage payment on a home you can't live in and cannot afford to fix, you don't have the money to get an appartment and you have to impose on a friend or family member so your kids can have a dry place to sleep. One thing leads to another and if were too busy to fix our problem with our girls now, when will we have the time and how much worse will it get before we get around to it?
  12. Considering that many muslim schools teach that western people are Devils and they even have cartoons and other shows saying the same thing for young entertainment, I find it difficult to entertain any sympathy for their complaint about things like this. Maybe we should start suing them for their lies.
  13. I agree with Glenn Beck, "too bad" needs to be used a lot more.
  14. Do we not still have the choice? Your pressing issue to run off in 30 minutes is still an option, you can decide that the mess has a higher priority than leaving. Putting off a needed chore will in most cases make the situation worse. You kids can add even more mess after you leave increasing the work needed to get the kitchen back into order and this is what is happening with society today. While everyone is all talking about how their too busy to act, the mess is getting worse and worse and will be harder and harder to "clean" as time goes by. And our girls are paying the price for our refusal to act.
  15. I thought this was funny: [ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=attlFcUWapU&feature=user]YouTube - Hillary's Obama Sex Fantasy - Comedy Time[/ame]
  16. Not really, we don't truly admit there is a problem until we take actions to fix the problem. It is like having a messy kitchen, you don't fully accept the reality of the mess until your cleaning it. As long as your avoiding the cleaning, the mess is still theory and concept, not reality.
  17. They don't vary that much, stealing, killing, raping, dishonesty, irresponsibility, etc, are all seen as bad things under almost every religion. My own beliefs run close to Christian "norms" but with certain exceptions but the main difference between religious based morals and non-religious based morals is religious based morals are not adjusted by popularity. Take crime for example, stealing is always wrong under almost all religions but people without strong religious convictions steal all the time. Everyting from taking office supplies from work to juries giving insane awards in lawsuits is all stealing but they make up justifications for their actions to "feel" like what they have done is okay. Today killing an innocent life is considered okay because popular trend makes it so, but in reality a world where a baby is not safe in it's mother's womb is a very sad world indeed. I don't want to get into the abortion debate in this thread but it is just another example of how society can change and allow things once thought unthinkable suddenly become acceptable and without some kind of solid ground, where will these flexable morals take us in a few more years? Is 1.2 million abortions in America alone each year enough to tell us we have a problem? Is 1 in 4 teen girls having a STD enough to tell us we have a problem? How about the average pregnancy happening to women who are not married? How about the average child not having a father in the home? How about juvinile crime being higher every year? When do we admit that things are not moving in a good direction?
  18. Most parents could care less what they found in their kids rooms, assuming they even went in their rooms. I did the same for my oldest son, I did not just leave them but I told him that if he felt that he was man enough to have sex, then he needed to be man enough to take responsibility for his actions and use protection. He is 18 now and is already on delayed entry to be a Marine. So far no babies, I have always pushed a life of taking responsibility for your actions as well as religious based values and he is turning into a very strong man in both morals and self-respect.
  19. Almost every State has free state run clinics that give free condoms away without asking many questions. Just about every department store and drug store sells all kinds of condoms and devote a full section, 4 to 8 feet wide, to these products. Many restrooms have vending machines and you can even buy them on the internet delivered in plain packages so nobody knows what your getting. Many schools even give out free condoms to the highschool kids, there is no barrier of any kind to kids getting condoms if they truly want them. So, it comes down to their attitude tword using protection, not availability, and to be honest, I am not sure why our kids have such bad attitudes, somehow they feel either bullet proof or maybe they are more self destructive here. I don't know about Europe but we have a serious problem with parents paying attention to their kids here, being a single parent is the norm, not the exception and a single mother does not have much time for giving their kids the attention they need.
  20. We do about the same here, we don't get into talking aobut things like oral sex or anything but a real effert is made to make sure that kids know the reality of sex, not just some hyped up version spread by kids or scare tactics by uptight old people. I think all kids can have the superman mentality though, not just American kids. Everything i am reading shows that the only real difference between America and some other Countries with lower problems is contraception use. Age 5 is about the start with 12 grades, making the kids end up at 17 or 19 when they go to college.
  21. I would have to dissagree with you being as I have been involved in the sex education program in our public schools here in America for many years. The classes are very informative and consentrate in giving accurate information including how to protect themselves from disease and unwanted pregnancies. Sex rate for teens of developed Countries are actually very similar if you look at the data, where America is higher (higher problem, lower use) than some is contraception use. That lower contraception use is the only reason we have higher unwanted pregnancies and disease. Teens not wanting to use protection cannot be blamed on religion as your trying to do, clearly they know what causes the spread of disease, and they know what causes pregnancy, if anything they are too relaxed about sex to bother to take precautions. If they are so relaxed about sex they just do it without any concern at all in the world, they are clearly not uptight, they are instead immoral, and the result of that immoral behavoir is things like STD's and unwanted babies.
  22. Considering that sex education in America starts in Elementary school, just claiming girls are stupid cannot be the reason. Their unprotected sex is the problem, not having sex would help but at least if they would use the free protection every state offers them their rates of STD's and unwanted pregnancies would diminish. When religious values were held to high reguard, girls did not behave this way very often, so clearly the loss of these values and the severely high rate of immoral behavoir are linked. As I said before, religion may not be the answer, but we need something to give people a reason to be moral because things are getting worse and worse as the religious reasons for morals are being weakened. As they say, the proof is in the pudding, and right now the pudding is rotten.
  23. So if you could snap your fingers and make any one thing happen to help these girls, what would that one thing be?
  24. Another great post. Don't you agree that all of these points are all examples of a loss of morals as well? We can make a list of thousands of examples I am sure but in my opinion, they are all symptoms of the real problem of lost morals.
  25. This pretty much sums it up for me as well, great post.
