  1. No, that would fall under each person agreeing to the exposures of their body fluids hugo, your still missing the point that people should not force exposure of their body fluids on someone else. And I notice you also dodged eddo's point that the person could have a disease but not know about it, what then? What if they were diseased but that exposure did not result in transfering it to the person they attacked? But you prefer to say that people should be protected from the results of their own actions........
  2. Again, please do not think I am condoning what they are doing, I would personally make sure the sick piece of garbage never got the chance to do it again if one of my loved ones was done this way, there is no excuse for it. My point is I can see the path that was taken even if it is a path I find repulsive and sick. These sick men have no way of experiencing sexual activity without taking advantage of the weak. Young boys or girls are easier to take advantage of and if your also a teacher, you can use your possition of authority to make this abuse easier. Look at these men. The vast majority of them could not attract a woman with a million dollars in the bank. They have no sexual options beyond hookers that are all diseased drug addicts. On the other hand, any woman, no matter how ugly, can easily find a man who will have sex with them. These women are not ugly most of the time though, they are extremely pretty and there is no restriction or limiting of other sexual opportunities. Taking advantage of the weak is not their only option.
  3. So if I believe something you do not believe then I love Al Gore? If I want a different kind of punnishment for a crime than you do suddenly I am paranoid? I am not a God fearing American if I do not agree with you hugo? You know what, you sound just like Nancy Pelosi, Reed, and Obama who all say I am unAmerican if I complain about their take over of healthcare. ?He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else? ~ Benjamin Franklin All you ever seem to do is make excuses for why people should not be held responsible for their own actions hugo. America was not made great by excuses, it was made great by individual responsibility and until you can agree that each of us should not be protected from the penalties that we have earned, you will be part of the problem, part of the excuses to never be responsible for anything.
  4. I think he is subtracting out things like the news bot as not part of the count.
  5. These guys always have to be doing something, that is the curse of Government. Each person feels they have to justify their existence or maybe they are no longer needed so no matter if your talking about the local county clerk or the President of the Unites States of America, they each want to 'look' like they are doing something. So we have to give them something to do or they will do something we don't like. I agree, stopping everything and letting the dust settle down would be the best thing they could do right now. Let everyone take a deep breath and relax their sphincter long enough to look around and assess where we are to move forward in a less hurried way. But I really do not believe we can make this happen so in the lack of a nothing option, having them work on something like a jobs issue is the least evil in my opinion.
  6. I was watching some news shows last night and they interviewed several people involved in the mess. I don't know if these guys are just playing a game but they seem very soild in their refusal to trust the Senate to pass new legislation if they vote for this bill in the House. I can remember over the years that there has always been a certain level of distrust between the House and Senate even between members of the same party for a very long time and maybe this old bad blood is taking it's toll now. Or maybe these guys are just holding out for their own special gimmie deal that other politicians have been given.
  7. "What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ?The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.? ~ Abraham Lincoln
  8. Being as you complain a lot about me putting words into your mouth, why would you go out of your way to do the same thing? Post a quote by me saying I wanted the women in a cell. I said charge her with a felony, not put her in prison, you still have no concept of how the legal system works. You charge her with a felony, then put her on a short probation or less but if gives her a record and she can either learn from her mistake to clean up her act or the next time she lets her anger get the better of her she will be facing the next criminal charge with a prior at sentencing. -I want rapists castrated hugo. -I want all capital crimes fast tracked with one all inclusive appeal process where everything the defense believe was done wrong is put on one appeal and done at the same time. Done, that should put thim into sparky inside a year or so.....not 15 or more years. The thing you do not understand hugo is we have all these criminals because there is no expectation of penalty for the crimes they commit and it starts by people like you asking for slaps on the writs for people who do something you feel is no big deal. Then someone else has another thing they feel is no big deal, then another, then another, until we have the problems that you just talked about with a car theif doing three months county time and a rapist being set free to do crime again. So let me say this again for you hugo, just because someone is charged with a felony, that does not mean they go to prison, you have to understand that concept before you keep making wild claims I want someone like this woman to take the place of other criminals in prisons because that is not what I am saying. By protecting people from the results of their folly, you actually make them worse criminals, they expect light treatments for more folly the next time, then more protection from their folly again, and again, and again, until you get the system we have today where nobody ever wants to take responsibility for their own actions. And your attitude adds to this problem.
  9. There are still good people in the world Atlantic, only Ren knows for sure how their relationship is formed but I am also sure she can handle it if the guy trys to change it. Ren, just be sure the car is in your name in case things do change so he can't take it back.
  10. It is a tad disturbing to be thought of at the same time as that woman to be honest, lol.
  11. The District of Columbia is the largest loony house in America.
  12. Cool, getting close now guys, get ready Merc
  13. Well then someone else was propping him up, or maybe he stole the money from people who never reported it, but the point is most of the bad behaviors people hear about from the average addicts are because they are busted trying to support their habit. This guy was getting his drugs, so they came from somewhere, he obviously did not have to resort to hooking on the corner or home invasions. Hey, maybe he sold drugs to the inner circle of actors to pay for his own addictions and that would explain a lot.
  14. This is a great story, it is pretty cool to hear real life stories of people doing good things just because it is good.
  15. Okay, I missed that one, of course nobody would ever get one year in jail for a misdemeanor charge. So the only way hugo's desired year penaly could be imposed is if the person was charged with a felony, and even then I would highly doubt it unless she has a long criminal history. This is another example that shows hugo does not really know how the criminal justice (contradiction of terms) system works.
  16. Of course it is my pleasure, your a funny and smart guy, it is always a good time to read your posts.
  17. A year?????? Where did he ever say that????? I think your confused about something with that em, hugo's possition has always been that throwing body fluids on cops should only be a felony if the person has a disease, and if they are not infected, then they should only be charged with a misdemeanor. Consider for a second how worried the officer and their families will be until medical tests are done to find out if they were infected with a disease or not. That would be a horrible time and to me deserving of a felony charge. A felony charge will still not end up with prison time unless the person has other charges or a big criminal hisotry. This is another point I think hugo is missing. People do not automatically go to prison just because they get a felony conviction, very few people with felony convictions ever go to prison. I am sorry for mentioning hugo's past with police discussions, I was wrong. Forgive me please hugo.
  18. But the concept of personal responsibility is the same hugo. Times have changed and the ways people are shielded from having to take responsibility for their own actions have mulitplied far beyond basic welfare and as he predicted, we are turning into a nation of fools. Do you think in his day the average person thought it was acceptable to toss body fluids on a cop? Or if there was any doubt that a serious penalty would result if you did? But today you want people to be shielded from the results of their actions. Somehow I doubt you would be so understanding if a mixture of piss and sh!t was tossed on you at your job. But you feel it is a small matter if done to a police officer.......... I still stand by the idea that a person should keep their body fluids to themselves unless they get permission to share them with someone else, and there to be a severe penalty should someone force their body fluids on another person against their will no matter what their disease status happens to be at the time, or the current employment status of their intended victim.
  19. Reminds me of this story: Michael P. Fay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I have no problem at all with public caning or even public hangings to be honest. The problem with punnishments is that society as a whole does not connect punnishments with crimes, everything is mostly hidden from view. A person sentenced to death will take at least 15 years before it can be carried out. By that time nobody even remembers the crime.
  20. No, just playing up on a quote from Herbert Spencer that hugo has in his signature. If hugo really believed in that concept, he should not be trying to shield people from the result of their bad actions. They decided to behave poorly, and should have to face the results of what they have done instead of having people trying to manipulate things so certain kinds of folly are not punnished.
  21. Where did I say I wanted her to go to prison? Do you think every or even most people convicted of a felony go to prison? Well that just is not the case, the vast majority of all people who get found guilty or admit guilt for a felony never see the inside of a State prison. Most end up with at most very short local jail time and some probation. Almost every person in a State prison is there either for one very big crime or lots of small crimes that piled up against the person. Hell, 20 years.......you can kill someone and actually do less than 20 years hugo, I don't think you really understand how the legal system works. Either you believe in protecting people from the results of their own folly or you don't hugo.
  22. I agree, the money is already taken so why not move it to something that might help instead of wasting the money on pet projects and rewards to political friends. I find it interseting that Obama promised to make jobs his number 1 priority but there has been almost no time spent on jobs, he is still traveling the Country in campaign mode pushing for a Government monster to control healthcare insurance companies. If they would all drop healthcare (for now) and instead show real work and progress on job creation I believe they could actually turn public opinion around for them in the next elections because it would show that they are listening to the wants and concerns of Americans. But as long as Obama and company are determined to ignore the people and do only what they want to make Government bigger and more powerful, then they will lose big. As far as trusting Brown, I never complately trust any politician or any political group, when even the Libertarians voted for Obama in the last election, that proved we can never truly count on any of them.
  23. ?The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.? ~ Buddah ?Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.? ~ Wayne Dyer ?People who live in the past generally are afraid to compete in the present. I've got my faults, but living in the past is not one of them. There's no future in it.? ~ Sparky Anderson
  24. I figured that was what you meant but I was just being sure, I agree with you completely and I have always tried to be that kind of guy who is concerned and attentive enough to be proactive but not to let myself be crippled into inaction or otherwise hampered in my day to day life by emotional weakness. That is why I spoke of loving the person you see in the mirror, in many ways I think those who are brittle emotionally on external things are also brittle on the inside from personal distress. If your secure in your own skin, and can be proud of who you really are, then you can both love yourself and be loved by someone else in a healthy relationship of equals.
  25. Isn't being "tuned in" subjective though? The level of attention and observation you desire may be completely different from what the next woman will want right? Assuming you mean that the man can pick up on your emotional needs and states on his own without help to be what you mean by "tuned in". Men and women are completely different creatures and our minds work on levels that are also completely different, there is a saying that any man who is that in tune with the mind of a woman already has a boyfriend.
